SP is all drama. Just put something out and focus on the MP Bioware.

Based on my experience, there are thousands more points in assets available from a completionist import save of all three games than people in the forums claimed.

Remember, those claims pre-date all the DLC except From Ashes.

Femlob cracked the game data and found the asset numbers. The breath clip really was impossible. Even with From Ashes, you needed about 400 WA points that just were't there without MP. Of course, that didn't matter anymore after the EC, and the DLC added a boatload more WA points.

Or the phone app, not that I care about babbies crying that they can't get an easter egg ending that was supposed to be reserved for the best players (MP).

Great design and I hope they do it again, but don't chicken out and reneg on it this time. The tears alone will sustain my ship's drive core for the entire trip to Andromeda.

Is there any way that just owning the extra DLC with an imported Shepard can make that kind of impact?  I know that EC lowered the requirements, and that the DLCs add some WA, but this seems way off.  From everything I've been reading, my number should be quite a bit lower than that considering where I'm at in the game.  It bugs me, because I was priding myself on doing it without apps or cheats or without needing to play MP (nothing wrong with MP, just wanted to get the WA without it.)

Edit: After looking and carefully comparing, I have no idea how I ended up with about 100 more points in some of the areas than I should.

Hmm. Looks like the fleet assets have doubled points, yeah. You could do that by swapping in a modded coalesced.bin, but you say you have't modded. (We had a lot of confusion on this board years ago from that-- there are some edited versions of the file around that make undocumented changes to WA numbers.)

ME3's single player was garbage, and it's fundamental flaws go deeper tha just "dat ending".

But it's multiplayer was a shining beacon of hope in an other wise EA Turd pile. They should continue innovating with the MP and leave the single player in the trash bend.

I dunno... it's conceivable that Bio modded the WA totals for existing assets themselves with the DLC. But then wouldn't this be hitting everyone?

If you're trying to make giving the MP players anything look like a bad idea, this is the way.

I use clothing, hair and face mods, but I didn't cheat.  I never manually went in and added levels or cash or WA.  You did spark a thought though.  I did use a modded coalesced file, but it was only for the causal clothes.  The uploader said nothing about changing War Assets.  They had only mentioned unlocking all of the causal clothes, and I never thought to look for any other changes.  I took the uploader at face value, when apparently I shouldn't have.

Thanks to you pointing that out, I opened up my coalesced file and checked using the editor.  The person had apparently set the starting strength of 200 for the Alliance Engineering Corps.  That would explain a lot, and going through the values, I see that they did it elsewhere.  I honestly had no clue that that I was accidentally cheating like this.  I should have thought of this sooner.

I'm incredibly embarrassed, and I can only apologize for me being utterly clueless.  I'm glad you pointed that out.  Now, it doesn't change the fact that I still wouldn't need MP for the highest EMS endings, but it does explain where that came from.  I've got some editing to do later to fix those values and get them back to default.   It's nice and all, but it's not needed or wanted by me.  I just wanted the clothes.   :P

Edit: This is why I always keep backups of original files.

Why? I'm not the one whom Bioware needs to worry about placating my unreasonable demands with DLC releases. I respect their initial artistic vision that placed MP players higher on the pantheon, rightfully above their SP lessers. It poignantly reflects upon the natural order of things IRL.

I just feel the warm welcome from here.  I'm imagining what a single player must go through if they are playing MP for the first time, and admits that they aren't great at it.

In terms of story, yes(like ME2 before it), but it was the best game in the trilogy in terms of gameplay. BW finally managed to get up to par with Gears 1(sans blindfire).

Gears is overrated, Vanquish was the best TPS of last gen.

ME3s gameplay is boring and easy. They casual'd it up to appeal to the dude bros and CoD kiddies.

At least ME2s insanity difficulty was a challenge.

Oh, come on. You can't be that dense.

Why is it dense to wish for better players to be rewarded for being better? It is the rightful natural order of things. In most MP games, I can work hard to git gud stats, so I can then make fun of casuals. In ME3, I had the best ending that I could hold over others, but they even took that away from me. It's not justice.

Well they have to be reminded of their place before they can begin climing the social order.

But seriously, have you ever looked? The MP forum and community is nothing like that. I wish it were that vicious to new players, but all anyone ever wants to do is help new players. I don't get it, because I've no interest in more people getting on my level (as if they could anyway) and making me look less awesome.

Actually, I can say that as much as we joke about it, that very rarely happens. And when it does, it typically comes from the forum's more well-known douchnozzles. (Douchenozzle has been in remission for a year or two, but I'm resurrecting it.)

Most of the time, new players are not only welcomed, but they usually get many answers very quickly that point them to the resources they need.

There truly isn't a more welcoming place to new players that I have ever seen.

Yet still an improvement over ME2's campaign, which gets worse and worse with age.

I'd rather have a plot similar to Contact than one similar to Plan 9 From Outer Space with copious daddy issues and a Space Terminator.

What you wish for is your own business. It was only dense to think that this would be a good idea for Bioware to implement.

I only have the current forums to go by.  Like I mentioned earlier, I recognize folks that are in the MP crowd that were the ones that told me to try the series in the first place. <waves to Dreamgazer>

Besides, don't you want the new players to match your level, or at least try to?  Wouldn't that make for a more fun and effective MP round if everyone was more at an equal level?  In games with PvP, I understand the competitive nature of "being the best."  In a MP system based on teamwork?  It doesn't make sense to me.

At least with SP the only people that can give me a hard time is myself, and my husband.  My husband just teases me when I geek out over something I love in the game, or if I have an unexpected case of death.  Oh and my dogs will look at me funny when I'm cackling and taking out Cerberus idiots.

@Jeremiah  I know the forums are never the best place to judge, but I also know that a lot of people enjoy MP without the ego or the elitism.  Sadly, I haven't run into that as much as "SP scrub" or "MP CoD zombie" in the ME forums.  Both insults are freaking stupid.  As long as someone is having a good time, and feel like they are getting their money's worth from the game, it doesn't matter to me.

None of us are "master race" anything.  We're a bunch of video game nerds that love talking about a video game series.  We're all equal, as far as I'm concerned.

Sure. But I find it easiest to just treat trolls at face value. Remember, QMR really is discrediting the idea of catering to MP players, so there's value in keeping this going. It's all good.

Yep, we're downright cuddly when it comes to new players. All the knowledge you could ever need only a question away. Sure, we'd call you a scrub... but everyone is a scrub, so you'd fit right in.

It has nothing to do with preference of one over the other.

Bioware hasn't managed to deliver a great single-player RPG since ME2. DA2 was a disappoitment. ME3 was a disappoitment. DA:I was a disappoitment.

ME3 MP was great. The fact that it pure TPS instead of RPG has nothing to do with the issue.

That's all there is to it. That's why I have higher hopes for MEAMP than MEASP.

I really love this comment

Quit living in the past bro, this thread is about how amazing Andromeda would be if it were MP only.
