I don't understand this kind of thread. It's all the same universe with the application of the SP's great connected 'universe' and the MP offering more of the combat rush that the SP gives.
Who really cares if BW puts out a spin off ME-MP-RPG that ties in to the whole lore. Relive the Skyllian Blitz or some new massive war with N7 involvement. BW has done a great job with races and skills that have integrated backgrounds that can play a part but wont hold a person back immensely if they don't learn about them, only add to the experience and make the combat more rational.
I really don't see a separation between MP and SP, just more game time = more value for the cash i put out. I got a LOT more out of ME3 than BF3. I still go back to ME3 for MP, BF3 will sit unused forever now i'm guessing. Does one element have to be somehow voted as better by the community, both obviously exist just fine, and I think BW could easily integrate the MP RPG elements into a SP story mode in an even more epic manner that would extend SP play and make the occasional grind actually worth more than the immediate pewpew gratification.
I'm not the best MP player but last time i was on i was rankedin the top 1% simply because it's just so much fun and i can put it down at any point when life has other things i need to/want to focus on. I'll go back to it for a month then put it down and maintain the wep achievements etc i had before.
BW made ME3 prob my top game ever. Yeah the story ending was annoying but i understand why it happened that way, all things have to end, Shepard was going to end, one way or another and if you can't accept things happen in life beyond your control, with limited options, you're not mature enough. ME3 SP story ending was much more meaningful and intense than ME2 (yay human reaper?) and ME1 (hmm kill the undead Turian Spectre).
The more i look at the ending, the less I understand how people could think every unique playthrough would yield a unique to you experience. The technology and groups of people working on one game isn't large enough. The only way this could have been realistic is if BW released 'Chapters' which you would buy or subscribe to buy. Seeing the reactions to DLCs, It seems people aren't ready for that. It would be cool though as it would have kept BW staff busy in all departments and a regular cash flow. I'd go forthat, but things like WoW where you pay monthly and get nothing new... scam.
Anyway, atthe end of ME3 I felt like crap leaving my Significant romance partner behind, yet having to still get up and fight through Maurader Shields and deal with the human supremecist dick and some idiot ancient computer programme manifestation. I did what I had to, and was able to breathe at least once more knowing i kept the universe from robo-disposal. Initially I was pissed at all the DLC, but given the years after release, i was happy to buy them all to get back into the ME Universe.
Due to this kind of experience and ongoing MP,ME3 is the one game all other games work around on my console. MP is addictive and i can hit it whenever i want, SP is great when i want to take my mind off things without so much of the adrenalin. How could you have one without hte other? I'd pay double for ME that put full game energy into both MP and SP into one package. Too much to ask for, I know.
I have issues with MP, SP and technical quality but i understand the challenge the production team had and so far their have been ****** great. Take my money and do what you do BW. No hurry, just do it right.
