Last I remembered. MP games such as CoD, BF, Halo, so on where the one's with drama.
You've clearly never read any romance threads in this forum, if you think BSN is bereft of drama.

I liked Mass Effect for the SP, and story for a reason.

How the hell is Battlefield Drama when all you do is Jihad Jeep all day long? there is no crying, romance, or story or any other crap in multiplayer. Just kids or your average players having fun.
lol there's a troll thread if there ever was one......tsk tsk tsk

Have you ever been on the battlelog forums?

That place is wonderful. I wonder how long threads like these would have lasted here, amongst all these triggered reporting babbies.

^glorious works such as that are the reason that ME:A MP needs some detailed stat tracking.
To be completely honest, if Bioware released the MP by itself, I wouldn't even buy the SP. Come at me ![]()

I would probably buy both ![]()
Oh damn,EA you didn't see this.

True. I'd still want to see the scale of the SP.

They've established a precedent of doing that with ME 3 MP and DAMP, so it is most likely that they will release an MP-only version. I wouldn't be surprised if the first demo is MP only (that was the case with ME 3.)

I'm down. Bioware, if you released a $150 Deluxe Edition only for the MP, I'd buy it without even blinking.
I doubt many others would. BioWare wouldn't do themselves any favours by pricing themselves out of sales.
It would most likely come with an insane amount of content though. Plus, EA would disagree with the choice or pricing either.
I have to say if MEA would be a MP only that would save me some money. MP only games are mainly crap from start to finish and don't last long. ![]()

Right, unlike ME3's Galaxy At War.
Which, to unlock and max out all the characters, guns and mods, without spending money, would take at least 100 hours or more.

That might not work as well as you think it will.

My point exactly! Why would you spent 100 hours or more to max out and unlock all characters when the game starts to get boring after maxing out only one?
I got only one Sentinel to lvl 20 for SP purposes and never returned to MP again.
Paying money for a MP shooter like that seems waste if you have game like Warframe for free. ![]()

Did you and me play the same game? If you only maxed out a couple of characters, there is, sooooo much that you missed out on.
Seriously. I never got bored.
The amount of ways to play in the MP is staggering and if you got bored that fast, then MP just isn't for you. And thats cool.

I started my gaming adventure with games like Morrowind, Legacy of Kain and Planescape Torment so all this MP shooters are not quite there for me.
It's one of the reasons I object when someone pushes MP or co-op into SP games.
MP in ME3 was actually fun to play but like I said on one character, later it just got boring.

Yeah. No, you've got to invest, I would say, at least 8 solid hours into before you start to see anything real, potentially, addictive gameplay elements. If you ever gave it another try, ignore Bronze, and focus mainly on Silver difficuly and higher. Just be sure you're properly equipped and don't need to be carried every round.

And hope that you don't get disconnected, or too much lag.

8 hours? MP is fun for me, but it ain't that fun. I couldn't last even half that time in one sitting. There's just not enough to it.
Good idea. Bioware should abandon its SP base and concentrate on MP.
Btw.... what does MP stands for nowadays? Money-Play? Micro-transaction Pit? More Packs? Monkey Pays? ![]()

Yeah. EA servers can be such a pain.

It's a commitment. You get out what you put in.

I actually think just about everything you say here is very wrong.
1. Do not advise new players to skip bronze.
2. A new player with a fresh manifest simply cannot be equipped for Silver. A veteran can, if they've started over with a second account, but telling someone with no equipment to "be equipped" isn't effective advice.
3. All new players have to be carried, period. This is not an issue - it's a co-op game. It is expected, and it's part of the learning process. I would have to say "Learn to carry" is better advice to a veteran than "Don't be carried" is to a new player.
4. 8 hours is way too long to have to "play a game to learn to enjoy it." If someone tried it and didn't like it, shrug and say "different strokes for different folks." The best advice to try and convince them otherwise would be to tell them to play with friends, or friendly BSNers who are willing to talk them through the finer points of the game, and help them earn more credits to make things less frustrating.
And there are a tonne of BSN members who are willing to do that and can be found in the ME 3 MP forum.
