Just move side to side with the praetorian and stand behind the big red box with the banshees, the reaper will kill them all for you.

It's not that they are incapable, I think. It's just the fact that it doesn't always work.

We aren't incapable, we just laugh at the pyjaks who need to do so to win. MP has its own examples in the Rio box of shame and Hydra glitch spot, and pretty much anyone worth their salt trolls people who use them.
Anyway, at least platinum on MP is suitably difficult so I can sort of understand it. Why would you need to hide from the Banshees on Earth? The insanity ones are as weak as the ones on MP silver difficulty, and there's only ever two of them. I can kill 5 times that many in a single MP wave without having 3 rotating sets of cooldowns (squadmates), and they're a lot tougher.
