The entertainment factor of ME3MP outlived SP by a long shot with most people I know.MEMP is 3 years strong and you can still find a match instantly. That has to say something.
SP is all drama. Just put something out and focus on the MP Bioware.

I shouldn't have to explain that to someone that has every ME and DA game registered to his account. If you had played all those games than you would understand why people play bioware games in the first game. Bioware's bread and butter has always been the stories in their games and the characters they develop in their games. Every bioware game is a journey and in the case of ME the original trilogy was Shepard's journey. I enjoyed ME 3's MP but I knew with MP there was always the risk of the slippery slope of it being overtaken an engulfed in MP development if it wasn't kept in check and when that happens then the SP can suffer. Now I saw you in the other thread hypocritically call me arrogant for expressing my opinion as to why SP is the heart of the franchise (and yes it is the heart and soul of the franchise, MP is just desert) then you precded to trash the ME 3 SP due to the controversial ending. Maybe you should put your own ego in check and realize not everyone wasn't pissed off about the SP experience in ME 3. Many of us enjoyed the SP and imported multiple Shepards into ME 3 to experience the ME 3 SP experience. The Mass Effect experience is the SP experience. The MP is not the priority nor is it even an equal. All mp is and should be is desert.
It's funny I have generally defended ME 3's MP against people that wanted it axed completely but I will be damned if people start thinking it should not only be given equal priority to the SP but have the gall to think it should overtake it.
I've been playing Bioware games since Baldur's Gate was released, so no, you don't need to tell me why people play their games. Also, I love single-player RPGs in general, that's my favourite genre. Planescape: Torment is my all-time favourite game. Baldur's Gate series, ME series, The Witcher series - they're all amongst my favourites.
But you know what? It's no my business to tell Bioware which games to make - that's what entitled kids do. It's Bioware's prerogative to make that decision (well... perhaps it's EA's, but you get the point).
I was initially mad when I heard there'd be MP in ME3. But you know what? I realized I was being foolish, and I gave Bioware the benefit of the doubt. They had made some great games over the years, the least I could do was to have some respect for them. And ME3MP turned out fantastic; it's no RPG, but it's still a great game.
Mass Effect is Bioware's baby. Not ours. Bioware gets to decide the direction of the franchise. Not us.

Ok let me make this clear, I have never trashed ME3's multiplayer, I even said that I quite enjoyed it. All I said it wasn't a priority over the SP. And I honestly doubt it is bioware's priority over the SP. But us SP fans have to make sure they know that we don't want them to prioritize MP over the SP. For those of us that actually give a damn about the franchise and want it to maintain it's integrity we are going to make sure they know that what makes ME special is it's single player experience. So if MP players come in here and start yelling from the roof tops that they want MP development to be a priority over SP then I have to make sure to outyell them and I will as will other SP fans.
Ugh make the MP forum already so we can get some decent threads in the real MEA forum.

And it's a direction that doesn't even contemplate SP, as it started to suck with ME3 and will do that even more in ME4, and hopefully it'll be removed completely by ME5.
If people don't understand that, well then.. They really are scrubs and crybabbies who should find the guts to play something that challenge them, find out that they suck, goback2bronze and then finally git gud.

In all fairness, ME has been an SP franchise throughout its existence. Considering it was only in the third installment that we got multi-player, I think it's a pretty safe bet that the majority of players were drawn in by the SP elements, and a majority of players are more deeply invested in SP aspects.
You might enjoy MP, but there are a billion games out there that prioritize the MP experience, and relatively few that prioritize a strong character-driven single-player role-playing experience. A lot of people seem on edge because they're afraid of losing this core aspect of the game to a rising tide of MP-focused products. Posters baiting SP enthusiasts to get their jollies is rather cruel, and sends a mixed message.

If you are trying to compare MP to actual SP characters that were added as the series matured you are really grasping at straws trying to make a ****** poor comparison. They contributed to the core ME experience in a way the MP never could. Because the bottom line is that MP is not core to the ME experience it never has been and it never will be.

I'd never deny any of that, but it still doesn't mean that ME3MP players don't care about the franchise or that they aren't just as big fans of the franchise than SP players.
Do you agree or disagree?

No. You said that as ME was ME before MP, then MP doesn't matter. ME was also ME before all of those things that I stated. Therefore, by your own standards, they are not Mass Effect.
You are the one grasping at straws here.

The silly threads just keep coming and this might be worst
A Bioware game focusing on MP instead of SP? We need the MP subforum fast so the COD players can go there
Most people play Bioware games for the story and characters and thats not going to change
I would rather they don't include MP at all but if they have to then at least focus on Singleplayer
See what you MP COD kiddies made me do? You made me agree with this guy. He and I don't see eye to eye on alot of things but guess what he is absolutely correct here.

"Dessert" - desert is the sandy place. But it doesn't matter - you can eat it before the main course - it all ends up in the same belly.

We're all fans here. Fans who are still playing ME3 multiplayer have probably clocked up more hours than most of these 'purists'. Does that make them more or less 'hardcore'?

You can be a fan of the MP but if you start saying it should get more development than the SP then you really are not a fan of the franchise. The SP is the franchise period.
