No you're not, 8 just happens to be one that divides people. It's either one of you're favorites or you can just barely tolerate it. Now I'm having memories of high school and debating with my friends which FF's were the best. My favorite of the mainline FF's is still 9, but really we all know that Tactics is the best, right.

Is 9 the one where you played a stupid rat boy? I couldn't stand that one. I only made it a few hours in. X though....FFX is another masterpiece.

I myself loved the battle system and it had some of my favorite music of the series. Oh and Vivi 
(a black mage). He and Steiner (a knight) could combo for a magic sword attack: thought that was a nifty implementation.
But I will agree that X was amazing. It remains my favorite FF. I love how a good story doesn't have to have a cliche happy ending (I like to pretend X-2 never happened).

No, I actually enjoyed every FF I have played (for the most part). It had an engaging story with a militaristic feel to it, and gunblades are badass.
That's true. I just loved the story. Yeah it was sappy and romantic, but I loved it. Also, GFs not taking mana was genius.

Honestly, I don't see any massive changes to the game, aside from cutting out 'inappropriate content', that would upset tumblrinas. The thing with FF7, is that it is such a cult classic, that has been analysed, by fans worldwide..That any significant changes, will not go down well. The whole operation is unoriginal, vulgar conservatism, even if it would make a lot of money. This is one of the faults that doomed today videogame industry's quality, where everyone (especially videogame cartels) look at money as the idol Mammon, neglecting the quality they should put into the product and its concept.

Before I go into any FF I usually go into a Let's Play.
12's premise seemed very interesting.
I like my political stuff.
But I never got too far into it.
Apparently the great political build up is thrown away for generic villain number 4.
Which is a real shame.

I really enjoyed 10 for what it was. And Tidus didn't annoy me nearly as much as he did for other people.

I saw X-2 and the moment that opening came up I was like
FF7 is the only game in the series that I have played for a decent amount of hours, but never got down to finishing it. FF12 is a game that a friend of mine has bombared me that I should play, mostly do to the political aspects which sounds fascinating, but neither have I managed to sit down and play it (or even get hold of the game).
