We Held the Line Until E3!
We did it, Mass Effect Nation!

Now we are here!  We have some solid ground when it comes to information about the next Mass Effect game; Mass Effect Andromeda!  And I am more hyped than a purebred Krogan on shore leave!

I am sure by now you have all seen the trailer.  About 100 times.  Like myself.
I decided to make an old-fashioned ye olde tymes "trailer break down and analysis" video, frame by frame.

in it, I bring up some interesting points I thought about while watching the trailer, and was wondering what your opininos were on some of these points.

Some of these points are:

- With no Mass Effect relays, how do we travel and explore great distances in the Andromeda Galaxy?

-Or ARE there Mass Effect relays? /Gasp!

-If the N7 Operative shown in the trailer is NOT the main character (I.e. Bioware statement) then are we working for said N7 character, or under his command? In his squad?

-Since the Andromeda location aspect of the recent survey leak was true, does that mean the rest of the leak is true as well?

I'm interested in hearing your thoughts!

I really enjoy your insight!  Some of this stuff I didn't think about before watching your analysis.

I believe there is that the Alliance (or someone) found a way to give a single ship an experimental engine making use of Mass Effect relay technology, or something similar.

Or maybe Mass Effect relays are in Andromeda after all... far away from the canon Destroy ending, surviving the Reaper influence but not being destroyed by the death of the Catalyst.

We've already got a trailer analysis thread going.

This thread seems to be more centric on the video analysis and on the questions from the speculation contained within, actually. :)

I can tell you. It's simple because the music in the trailer indicates a Borderlands feel to the game. I'm waiting for a Handsome Jack persona to pop up anytime, as well as a ... Brick... and a ... Lilith....

* Travel without relays - we reverse engineered the Reaper Space MagicTM drive that allows 1000 LY/day travel between systems! How do you think they got to the Batarian systems from where they were at the end of ME2 in six months?

* The N7 Operative is Commander Vega and we work for him.

* Handsome Jack runs the Cerberus racket in Andromeda - since we will need human mooks to kill and not feel bad about doing so.

* The rest of the leak? Perhaps. or Not. Heads. or Tails. In one parallel dimension it will be true, and in another it will be false. The question is what is it in this one?

I would rather this franchise stay as far away from anything to do with a Borderlands game as possible.

Borderlands was fun.  For about a month.

But just wouldn't seem right in the Mass Effect universe.  Or a Bioware game, for that matter.

I do, however, enjoy your sense of humor.

You Gain +3 to Charisma.

A Reaper in FTL travels at 30 light years a day, not 1000.

I beg to differ. This view is about 100,000 LY from the edge of the Milky Way galaxy. I used an astronomy program to get the approximate view. This is the end of ME2 right after the Suicide Mission. The Reapers arrived six months later.... Or sooner!!! If you did Arrival after Horizon, then scrambled back for the photo op at the end. That means they were going hella fast. I have the proof right here. We didn't really know how fast reaper FTL was until the reapers arrived. The codex was written by humans. Starbrat had different ideas.

How do the reapers fly so fast? Space Magic! We reverse engineered their stuff and since the story takes place long after the ending of ME3 we don't need no stinkin mass relays. Mass Effect drive cores can do the job.

I'd rather have two of these, than one more thread crying about the music, the galaxy, the lack of Shepard, Liara, the Mako...

The lore states they go 30 ly/day.

The Reapers' thrusters and FTL drives appear to propel them at more than twice the speed of Citadel ships. Estimates of their location in dark space suggest they can travel nearly 30 light-years in a 24-hour period.

http://masseffect.wi...dex/The_Reapers

As for your image, it's quite possible the Reapers have a Mass Relay in Dark Space to get to the Milky Way. We know they have at least one since that connects to the Citadel. Perhaps they have one that connects to the Alpha Relay and were about to jump when Shepard destroys it.

Also, Bioware hasn't always been accurate with speed and distance. For example in Destroy Reaper Dreadnoughts fall to the ground in three seconds when gravity would cause something of their height to take over twenty seconds to fall. Same with the Citadel arms opening. At the speed they are shown opening, everyone on the Citadel would be squished from the G forces.

Maybe we're working for commander shepard, and he/she dies in this game! Maybe ME2/3 shepard was a clone and the real Shepard woke up in an infirmary in this new galaxy after dying in ME2's prologue... that's a bit mad, isn't it? :-)

Wouldn't it be amazing if we had a quest (side quest or main) to track down Shepard?  I doubt he is still alive as Bioware said ME:Andromeda takes place long after the events of Mass Effect 3.  Having a "Find Shepard!" quest would remind me of the supposed premise of the new Star Wars movie where the main plot involves trying to track down Luke Skywalker.

Speaking of:  I wonder who would win in a fight?  Commander Shepard or Luke Skywalker?

None the less. after watching the Trailer about another hundred times I have found even more stuff I didn't notice before!  Makes me want to do an Extended Analysis video!

If counting the Star Wars EU, Luke Skywalker easily.

Eh, I wouldn't nitpick too much at the animation. After all, we can't have this scene of the Citadel opening play for like 10 minutes or something, though I think in this case they wouldn't be squished so much as they'd be thrown off of its surface, but I guess we can just chalk this up to inertial dampeners, so you can have super fast vehicles in space without killing its occupants with the extreme G's.

Seeing a Biotic Shepard and Luke Skywalker battle it out should be a video by Super Hero Beatdown or whatever that YouTube channel was!

I think that biotics are better in a combat situation, but a master of the force has the ability to do a great many things, such as take over the minds of their opponents!

What is your opinion of the Korgan in the trailer being female Raizer?

Good points!  I remember that YouTube channel!  I think its still around.  It always reminded me of that old show, "World's Deadliest Warriors."

Regarding the Krogan, the hood does remind me of Eve's hood, however I believe that male Krogan had a larger "hump" than female Krogan, and the Krogan in the trailer seemed to have a pretty large hump.

We do only see the Krogan for literally one frame of the trailer, so its hard to make a decision with 100% accuracy.

Just noticed Raizer:

You were literally the FIRST person to analyze the trailer and upload it to YouTube!

Lady Insanity uploaded a trailer analysis too, but yours is TWICE as long and way more in depth than hers!

Congratulations bro!!!

I'm proud to be part of the #MassEffectNation!

Are you going to do another extended trailer analysis like you said on your Twitter?
Since you were the first to do a Mass Effect Andromeda Trailer analysis I am really looking forward to it!
Your analysis is FAR better than Biofan's, Ability Drains, or Lady Insanity's!
And Gamermd83 only uploaded a video of her trailer reaction.  Not sure why she thinks she is special enough that people would rather watch a reaction video than a analysis video!

We need more ME:Andromeda info!

I am actually in the process of making an extended analysis along with a couple other surprises too!
I found some information about ME:Andromeda that I don't think anyone else has found or noticed yet, pretty excited to upload the video!
I am limited myself to 4 hours of sleep a night so that I can dedicate as much time as possible to bring you all the news and info I can!

I have never heard of Gamermd83, but I always felt reaction videos were "meh".  I seen the Lady Insanity video you mentioned and while her editing is great, she did miss quite a few things in the trailer, likely because she limited her video to under ten minutes.  I highly recommend her videos though as her channel is pretty good!

I am not stuck-up enough to say you should ONLY watch my ME:Andromeda videos!

Personally I got burnt out of Gamermd83 (she always over-hyped her opinion) Lady Insanity and Ability Drain.  They seemed to just view milk as of late.
Your videos are a refreshing source of Mass Effect information!  And I can tell your dedicated!  You had a 20 minute trailer analysis video uploaded within hours of the trailer being released!

Keep up the awesome work!
