I know this might sound strange, but would anyone else want a tattoo option for our characters? Head, neck, arm, body tattoos. I wouldn't mind it, as long as there was a lot of variety. My GTA Online character has some tattoos.
Imagine having some bad**** character with a facial tattoo making them look more intimidating? I could see some cool character looks with this.

Well, Dragon Age does have facial tattoos, so we know it's a possibility. I'd kinda like to be able to have something, though I'd kinda like it somewhere other than the face, which I'm not sure they've gotten locked down as an option yet. The only non-face tattoo in Dragon Age was a part of the design of Hawke's Champion attire as a mage, rather than being on Hawke themselves.
While I wouldn't use tattoos, I wouldn't mind the possibility of body customization. Especially since we are stuck with being human.
Hmm well not sure how is in the US but in my country soldiers are strictly forbidden to have any kind of tatoo (speaking because I served). Wouldn't be a problem for a private to have one? Again not sure how other countries deal with this.

Tattoos have a history within US military culture, though to my knowledge, typically they tend to be the kind you can cover up when in uniform. Though I seem to recall something about rules that were passed that restricted or made them against the rules...
Based on James, though, we know that the Alliance considers tattoos below the chin are at least acceptable, since we can clearly see his tattoo both when he's in his armor and in his casual wear. So the Alliance may be more flexible on this count than their counterparts in our world.
different countries have different rules regarding tattoo's; in the UK for example, it's fine to have them providing they can be covered up when on parade.
I'd like the option for tat's on the body of the protagonist, but, until we know what they'll wear on the ship it may be a bit redundant.

I like to think that Jack's and James's tattoos are the developers trying out something they want this protagonist to have.
So yes, sure.
I'm not big on starting out with tattoos though, so I'd love a mid-game customization tool to pick a tattoo that I can RP as meaningful to my character. I don't pick this stuff on a whim!
I like tattoo's. I have them on my arms and legs. So yes to having tattoo's.

I agree! The more options, the better. If you want tattoos, then go for it! If not, then simply don't use them.
Edit: And as mentioned above, it would be nice if we could add the tattoos later in-game. I believe we should be able to change tattoos and hair style at a certain place in the ship and/or HUB area whenever we like.
I would love them but if they are face only I will pass. I can never get the right feel if they are on the face especially in DaI
While I would never get a tattoo personally I think they can be amazing and beautiful. I'm not just talking getting a fancy word or phrase tattooed on, I mean true body art. It's a bit of a weakness of mine when I see it >.<
So yes please to this. I'm not sure if we'd ever get to see the tattoos on anywhere but the face though.
I would like to have tattoos for the head and body and have a few to pick from at CC and unlock more later that you can add to your body as you play. Id also like the option to change my hair after the game starts. like have a cosmetic shop on the ship where you can put on new hairstyles and beards and tattoos then go get your gear and ship out for your mission. new hairstyles and beards can be unlocked with codexs and bought in shops.
So long is it isn't facial tattoos only.
I don't mind facial tattoos in general, but when the face is the only thing tattooed, it looks silly to me.

I guess I should make myself clearer. I do think there should be more customization options in this game. While I don't really care about tattoos, I'm certainly not opposed to them either if that's what people want. But generally I think there should just be more customization options.
I do think if this is alliance navy that a facial tattoo would be a little IDK inappropriate but who knows what regulations will be by then.
I would really like this a lot.
And while maybe there are rules about tattoos in the military now, I don't see why the future fake space military has to follow them.
