I suspect the usual suspects will get cast. Bioware has their stock VOA's. I cannot complain because I believe they hire The Best VO actors available in this age.

Needless to say, whoever they cast for main protagonists will be well seasoned and thoroughly enjoyable.

Doubtful it'll be Hale or Meer. I love them both tho'...  :crying: Both can stretch their voices in unusual ways. Hale did Krem in DA:I. Unrecognizable to me. Meer does so many alternate voices, I never recognize him.

Anyway... who's your vote for casting the mains?

I've heard Meer and Hale enough I can pick them out, but even if I couldn't, I really hope neither of them voice the protag. The debates that rage around who's 'better' drive me up the wall. They probably also won't voice major NPCs, given the distinctiveness of their voices.

If the Inquisitor's an indicator, we might see a former party member from either Mass Effect or Dragon Age get promoted to PC, at least as one option (since Inquisition had two different voices, even if that was primarily because of the race variation, they might do it again anyway).

Wasn't the guy voicing Adam Jensen for DeusEx also working for ME:A? Sorry don't remember his name.

He has a cool voice IMO.

They could give someone new a chance. There are more than just a few good voice actors out there.

Indeed.  I loved her voice.  And Brian was amazing in both DA2, and DAI

Bioware seems to like working with the same VAs - out of 8 main characters only 1 hadn't previously worked on a Bioware game (Harry Hadden-Paton), so I'm kinda expecting the same for the MEA voices.

Laura Bailey's already pretty much everywhere but I never tire of her voice. As for the male voice I'm not sure. Laura's real-life husband Travis Willingham ?

Elias Toufexis? That would be very cool and he has quite range too, but where have you heard this info?

I liked Cherise Boothe voicing Maggie in Evolve quite. However, hiring the right VA and getting the accting right is something I don't worry about at all with Bioware.

Probably Troy Baker. Because you can't have a male protagonist who isn't voiced by Troy Baker. Its the law.

I personally hope for Brian Bloom, Liam O'Brien or maybe even someone new.

Anything but Troy Baker or Nolan North.

Oh!  I just thought of an even better option!

Female Protag:  Janet Varney

Male Protag:  Henry Rollins

I want to hear Kath Soucie and Natasha Little. As the heroine or someone else who talks a lot. They are in SWTOR which makes me hopeful.

I want someone with a more variable (yet still identifiably 'North American') accent. Meer as Shepard, for example, was very 'Canadian' and 'American' to a stereotypical degree. I want the North American itself to stay (and I'm sure Bioware does), but I don't want it to be as prescriptive for a 'certain look' (ModelShep).

Ideally there would be at least 2 voice choices, but I'm not holding my breath.

I would hate to hear Troy Baker. Enough already.

It absolutely cannot be Troy Baker or Nolan North for Male. Female also can't be Alix Hilton Reegan or Jennifer Hale.

Some unknown Canadian actor like Mark Meer is always good. I like the unknown talent Bioware brought in in the first Mass Effect.

I've had enough of Troy Baker to last a lifetime Anything but him or any other of those 5-6 recognizable-anywhere voices.

Do like they did with ME1 - Hale and Meer weren't really that known for their leading roles yet, so promote people who also aren't that well known but are talented - just no batman grovel for the male VO for god's sake.

Uh, Hale was one of the most accomplished voice actors in the game industry long before she started working on ME1.

Yes she was, but mostly for supporting characters.
