MEA shares the engine with DAI which has none. And I really hope that FB was not the reason behind this restriction.

How could it have anything to do with the engine? The face code merely indicates the face editor slider positions.

Probably not 'engine' per se, but the overall tech protection\ design. Still, they never made it. And it's even impossible to move a save between the PTs in DAI.
Let's hope they do it for this game. But if DAI is any indication, then it might not happen since people had been asking for face codes there as well.
