Devastator mode is the best power on this character.  And you can't make a power build without a character's best power.

After that it drops off fairly dramatically, but MF'nGrenades are the second best.

0 DM is pure hipster.  You can get away with 0 fitness with high level Cyclonic but 0 Missile is better except potentially on very grenade unfriendly maps, and too many grenade fiends in the squad where a missile build is ok.

Adrenaline Rush is the best power on the HSol. Cryo builds are incredible with 0/6/6/6/6.

You can always work without your best power if you're creative.

Yes, but you have 2 HSols to spec, and only 1 Destroyer.

it would actually be pretty neat if one could have several builds stored for each character.

Multi-builds in ME:A, Biovar plox.

It would be better if, instead of a respec card, one could acquire a spec card, that let you store an extra character spec. They could be like Cobra Launcher cards, for example, start with one slot and gradually max your character out to - say - four different specs. The point being that you could switch between them quickly instead of having to reset and rebuild all powers.

Or how about just free respeccing which makes more sense anyways?

Don't make every damn decision cost you credits, it's stupid.

You can of course spec out of the best power, but it turns out doing so makes a weaker character.

edit:  To elaborate, I don't mind if someone prefers a non-ARush combo spam build.  I mainly commented because I never liked the false dichotomy between power and weapon builds that has been rooted in the BSN parlance.  Personally though I prefer to do the CS combo spam while retaining ARush, making my choice between CS and Frags on the two soldiers.

My build

I go no fitness and take rank 6a in DM and use Adrenaline mod. I've never had issues with him surviving. He has 3 unique powers, I don't see the point in skipping any of them. I've done 0/6/6/6/6, 6/0/6/6/6, and 6/6/0/6/6 as well. They're all fun. I lose 15% weapon damage by taking 6a in DM, but he's still plenty survivable, has powerful AOE oh crap nades, long distance stagger with HML, and good passives. This just saves me from respeccing all the time. This guy along with the Cabal have the most builds I like, but since respeccing is annoying, this is what I ultimately settled on as being the best of all worlds.

Well, you can make all 0 builds work too. Your point being...? :P

You are free to do what you want and should do what you like most, but if we're talking about raw efficiency then AR is the best power on the Hsol and, in fact, a cryo build can't hold a candle to an AR one with a good gun. Same thing as DM is the best power on the Destroyer and a DM-less build won't hold a candle to a DM one ;)

I heartly endorse this product and/or service ;)

This Destroyer is the only... the ONLY... kit that I like the Argus on. Headshot machine. Swap out one of the AR mode for stability and you don't even need the Valiant.

I go 6/6/3/6/5.

Grenades don't need to be max power to be effective at staggering rooms of mooks. My guns handle the big things. Missiles are neat since they still fire while you're letting a heat based gun cool down (Not a full overheat, though) and also stagger mooks for easy pickings. Rank 5 fitness to get Shield Recharge Delay improvements,

I agree, but I usually go 6/6/4/6/4.  I don't like grenade spam, so I generally only use MultiFrags as an emergency Oh Crap Button.  Is it the best way to play him?  Probably not - grenade spam setups are usually the most effective way to play any kit with grenades.  But it's my favorite way.

If you haven't tried this, you should try it:  Turian Sentinel with Argus.

Overload keeps all the mooks staggering while you pick them off with constant headshots, and Warp makes the Argus's mediocre boss DPS a little bit better.  You could always drop the AR stability mod for the Extended Mag (with Warp or Cryo Ammo) or for the piercing mod (with Incendiary Ammo), and take the Barrage Gear instead.

Do you want thunderdomes? Because that's how you get thunderdomes.

Edit- I also go 06666 melee venom on destroyer.

If you're playing a grenade kit and you have clips left at the end of the match then you did it wrong.

Skip missiles if you don't want to use a meme build running around like a mongoloid

Devastator mode is the reason why you play destroyer.

MFGs whilst good, don't stack up to lift or arc nades and missiles are just all round "meh". Dropping all that weapon DPS just for extra shields is not intelligent in the slightest; if you insist on running missiles (seriously, don't, they're not that great; cause screen shake and stagger things at awkward times) then drop fitness, not DM.

Might as well pick a different kit if you spec out of DM.

Not really. A man only has to learn how to say "no" :P

Between nades and hot reloading my Brophoon, I usually end up wishing I could take assault loadout together with the scanner.

That's why I like the missiles on him. Brophoon Destroyer doesn't have time for grenades. Or more accurately, doesn't have time to go running around the map looking for grenades that other people will take.

You say that like it's a bad thing.  It autosplodes things in view that I'm not currently targeting, allowing me to attack multiple targets at once, and can even free you from a Banshee by blowing her face open when she's picked you up.  I love Missiles so much.  My main argument against grenades is the limited ammunition>  Every time I've tried a grenade build I want up basically a sitting duck because I can't get enough grenades from ammo boxes due to teammates.

This too.  Brophoon and Revastator shouldn't EVER. STOP. FIRING.  So its much better for autoaiming and autofiring missiles than to have to constantly stop to shoot grenades and run back for more grenade ammo.

I used to hate the stupid little shoulder-missile, until I've experienced recently how well it works with the PPR. With DM you rarely get staggered, while you keep staggering mooks and mow assholes down with your PPR. AM III with 6 passives, 6 fitness, **** frag grenades, sweet-ass build for ya, enjoy.

Now I just need to get my Argus to X and I will try that build out. Sounds fun!
