I just tested this ring again and providing the damage drops are correct in game this ring does not work, I don't know if you're referring to this with the bold part above or whether you mean the tooltip. 

 

I did my tests on the venatori faction both with and without the ring on the xbox one and the damage drops were the same.

 

Thanks for the information on the other rings, I retested the firestorm ring and I was wrong about that one previously, it doesn't work at all. I must have been counting crits for some stupid reason. :P

As far as I can tell it adds .16 damage multiplier which takes the secondary hits from .5 to .66 which is quite minimal. Not sure if that's even a testable amount with the damage range we have.

The question is, would the AW Strength of Spirit fix apply to it as well?

 

No, I'd have to go in and make a separate change to Fade Shield math to account for having this or not.

On a 150 base damage bow, the difference would be 75 without the ring and 100 with the ring (all other factors aside) based on the modifier you stated. I see that as being quite testable.

I see I barely saw any difference in the damage spread when I was testing it so that's explains why.

Immolate ring doesn't change the tooltip so probably doesn't work. Charging bull ring works.

I went ahead and tested this, since Hellbiter is being lazy :P

It does NOT increase damage by 30%.
It does NOT increase duration/number of fireballs at all. Do not use this ring unless you need to increase your hipster level.

As an aside, I love the tooltips in this game.

 

 

I would have gotten around to it :P

 

Confirms what I thought though, thanks for testing.

As far as I can tell, yes. I'll see if I can get some time to fix this on a Friday. Probably should always do whatever is lower of damage*1.3 and damage+.3 at a minimum.

Exactly. That's what I was saying, only with a higher base damage:

150 base * (0.5 + 0.16) = 99 damage
150 base * (0.5) = 75 damage

Furthermore, the ability multiplier is multiplicative with Attack Bonus and Critical Damage, which would further separate the two.

Assuming a 40% attack bonus and landing a critical hit, the damage would lay out like this:

150 * (0.5 + 0.16) * 1.4 * 1.5 = 207.9
150 * 0.5 * 1.4 * 1.5 = 157.5

And the separation increases from there. Given there is about a 10% damage variable, you'd still see an average of higher numbers with the ring. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy if the ring was buffed... My only point was that it is testable.

Disruption Field ring is completely bugged.

 

With the ring, DF, with or without the upgrade, has a 13s duration and 99% speed reduction.

Spike Trap (duration): Works but what good is an extra amount of time on the trap? I'll switch this to be damage.

I also noticed frost flask on alchemist is taunting enemies even without the upgrade.

No changes have been made. With much of anything as of late. We'll just have to wait for the patch whenever that is.

If this is old news, I apologize, but I tested the Bolt ring and it does not work.  Both with and without the ring, I was able to fire off 7 shots at max fire rate before running out of stamina.
