Easy one :

When Effective Military Strenght is measured by the game to trigger what will be delivered to the earth final fight ?

I have read the war asset thread which says at "priority : cerberus HQ" launch, and wikia which says at "priority: earth" launch

Based on Mikefest's experience with whether TIM kills Anderson or not, EMS is judged at the time of the decision. (Anderson is apparently worth 100 points if TIM does not kill him.)

After finishing Chronos, look at your map. The ems that you have at that time is what you go to Earth with whatever that number is. Depending on what heppens to Anderson on the Citadel when facing TIM, that number can be higher or lower.

If Shepard "saves" Anderson, Shepard will gain 200  war assets and if TIM kills Anderson, Shepard loses 100 war assets.

The 2 numbers above is not effected by your Galactic readiness. So if your Galactic readiness is at 50% you still get the full 200 and lose the full 100

heh, didn't know you could earn EMS's that late....but how do you know that, if you have no more access to the Normandy in that time?

Simple. Go to Earth with only 2900 ems. Don't let TIM kill Anderson, pick destroy and you will get the breath scene. Or go to Earth with 3190 ems and let TIM kill Anderson, pick destroy and get no breath scene.

Has anyone tried editing EMS scores? My impression is that changing WA values doesn't have any effect unless you do it before the end of Cronos.I guess that's when the game does its final sum?

It is good you tested that.  Now I wonder why the information was spread that it uses the number prior to launching Cronos Station and that anything after didn't count.

I first noticed this in my one and only playthrough on the pc back in October 2012. I had no dlc except the extended cut, no import, did no multiplayer and with no mads. I still came up short to have the breath scene, but some how I did get it. I didn't give it much thought until, for some reason, about a year ago I decided to figure out why.

So on my ps3 I started with my ems at a certain number before I went to Earth. After a while I finally figured Anderson played a role in me getting the breath scene. I also learned other things about what ems effects depending on how much the player has. All those findings I have posted in the 'What I discovered' thread.

EMS can change. You can restart from the checkpoint where Shepard wakes up after Hammer is decimated. I've actually finished the game with mid-EMS and Shepard died in Destroy but everyone else lived and the Normandy escaped. I then increased my GAW and restarted at the said checkpoint. I let Anderson die again, but this time I do get the breath scene. I've had EMS 2,768 once and I still got the breath scene. Anderson still died.
