The post from Aaryn Flynn and Yanick Roy said the trailer was a target render. It means it was not representative of how the game would look on PS4, XB1 or even PC. Do you think it will be downgraded or will it look even better than this.

I think it will look slightly less "polished" if you know what I mean. DA:I was technically downgraded I'd say, but it wasn't nearly as noticeable as Witcher 3 or Watch Dogs, but considering this game is newer I hope Bioware can squeeze more power out of the consoles, because DA:I wasn't next-gen enough to me in its graphical fidelity. Too many rough edges on world geomitry, but occasionally it looked amazing too. I dug the cinematic DoF in it during cutscenes.

TARGET render.  We haven't seen the game in action to know what the baseline is.  Never use an announce trailer as a standard.

Well, it cannot possibily be downgraded since there is no video of how it looks today. If might not reach the target they showed with the trailer, but that's something else.

What does downgrade mean for a game that is in pre-alpha? I wonder sometimes if people have any idea what they are talking about or if they are just using the buzzword of the week.

It will most likely be downgraded. But I'm sure it'll still look good.

Usually they get downgraded from target renders. Noone can know for sure.

Well, Star Citizen is TEH Benchmark in SF to mess with at the moment at least on PC.

If ME4 ... MEA gotta be a AAA+ game it's gonna have to keep up with that somehow.

I don't even think that was a target render for graphical fidelity per se. The exact quote is "represents our visual target for the final game," so it could easily mean BioWare is targeting just aesthetics.

If you want a good baseline for graphics, I'd check out the E3 Battlefront preview. It's the same engine, so I'd expect similar looks.

The trailer is by no means a standard to base this off of, especially so far before release.
