I love the game for the 360 (except for the fact that I can't share my characters' looks with a good quality pic since those don't transfer over like they used to, but I digress), but I don't like the fact that we don't have scars like everyone else does. I don't like comparing other games, but Mass Effect 3 allowed us to use scars, so I'm unsure why we can't use scars for this game.

It's probably too late, but is there anyway that could be added in? I realize people are going to say it's my fault for not updating my console, but that's not the point. The point is, if the game was also made for the 360, it should include what it does for the other games. Not being able to use goofy faces in Origins was one thing, but the scars are a really big thing for character customization.

Just my ten cents.

That's horrible!

As for scars, I doubt they'd add them because they are tied to a shader setting in the PC version, and XBOX 360 has the lowest shader setting implemented I imagine.

Bioware stated that they were removed/not added intentionally to save space, I think. Has been time since I read those tweets. Probaply textures of scars would have been too hard for old gen consoles though I'd have loved if Bioware then included scars-slider then, similar as earlier games.

Let my kids borrow your 360 and it'll have plenty of scars when they get done ...

Scars in Inquisition require shaders that aren't supported on the old consoles (even on PC, you have to turn shader quality to high to get scars and the good complexion blending).

This could have probaply been avoided with design choices rather than "ups these don't work on old gen, well nothing we can do lets remove them without word", but nice to know likely reason there is none.

To be fair, Mike acknowledged early on that scars wouldn't be supported on the old consoles.

Early? It was told to players on twitter only after DAI shipped and old gen folks were wondering where scars are.

Early in the game's life, but after release, yes.

They didn't even demo character generation until like a month before release, so it's not like the game was sold on having scars.

If that's the case then why does Cassandra still have her scar?

The companions cheat (a lot of their facial details are baked into the textures).

For the player, they have to be dynamic (since you're in control of their shape, position, size, and intensity), which requires some of the more complex shaders that aren't supported on the old consoles.
