How could I mod  a helmet to make an eyepatch? Or import an eyepatch model into the toolset?

Well i have a similar thing and ran into a problem so. Helmets disable the hair on the model when u wear it, and i cant find a way to not do it. With a eyepatch it would need to stay right.

Otherwise, you will need to create a animatable model, and either override a existing item or create a new item based on a new "itemvariation".

best idea I'd heard was to make a new hair item with the patch or whatever included and just be careful not to pokethru during face editing

i thought about making glasses but i would have to edit the hairstyle to accompany the glasses and if i would wear one of those dreadful helmets i would have to edit those too

and like TesseractSpace said making them universal enough to use with different facemorphs

I'd posit that there is no way to make glasses or eyepatches that fit all possible morphs, but then I can morph the face enough to pokethru the hair provided already, so I would just try to have something with a reasonable amount of fit. Eyepatch is gonna be the tricky one, but not impossible. It may end up just slightly off the face in most morphs but that's a negligible issue with the distance at which we usually view the character's face. (ah, I could wish for the level of control I have in Poser or Daz Studio where I can manipulate the hair, accessories and face independently and to a much finer level of detail.)
