I'd put this in the BioWare franchise forum but there is no general discussion section.
Since it is impossible to make a game that would encompass all three endings, you could make 3 separate games. And then also Andromeda.
The 3 ending games wouldn't need to have multiplayer, and they don't have to be massive games, but they would be a really good bridge between ME 3 and Andromeda.
I think a lot of people (although not all) might feel yanked away from their favourite universe (well their favourite galaxy really) because you are taking away their main character and their game world as they know it at the same time. So it might feel a bit of a departure, like having the rug pulled from beneath one's feet.
You could do something like you did with the Keep, so people can pick a world state, this is so that people won't have Geth in the game with an ending such as Control for example, where they picked the Quarians and weren't able to save both.
Depending on certain flags, then certain missions will unlock.
Example:
- In the control ending game, unlock 5 missions to do Geth being alive and Quarians being dead and the repercussions of such state of affairs. If Geth were dead, then unlock 5 missions where Quarians are alive.
- If they are both alive then unlock 5 missions where they are both alive.
- You might also be able to change some NPC dialogues, the same way they change in Mass Effect 2 depending on whether or not you save the Council.
Then you can play with the political tensions created by curing or not curing the genophage.
You could make 3 games with this flag system (which you already have) and see what happens. Are machines being rebuilt after Shepard destroyed them? Is this another case of what happened before will happen again? Will we get cylons this time (okay, nevermind the cylons).
You get the gist.
Don't need to make them concurrently just treat them as a trilogy.
And then make Andromeda. Or an Andromeda trilogy. This would offer people some closure, allow them to explore more of the "old" universe and then I think they'd be more receptive of Andromeda. And it would mean many years of development and jobs for many people at BioWare.
Just my 2 cents.
P.S.: Because people have already taken this the wrong way, I am happy about Andromeda, this was just a wild idea for those who are not.
