Baddies still crying that they were "forced" to play ME3MP? You're the one who wanted to get the optional endings reserved for better players than you. If you're SOOOOOOOOO antisocial that you can't stand other people to even be controlling avatars in the game that you are playing, you could also play it solo....but I guess the requirement to git gud was too much for you scrubs?

Biower pls ditch the outdated SP mode and spend the money and resources elsewhere. MP is the wave of the future, the choice of the Übermensch, and we should not be held back by lesser beings whom are a blight on gaming purity.

that's because talking was never the problem. People always had the option of soloing in ME3MP to get the readiness up. Bronze gave you the same SP Galaxy at War contribution as plat, and bronze solos were trained chimp levels of EZ.

These people are just mad because they're bad. Perhaps they could include a narrative difficulty in the next game, so there's no challenge or chance for the game to show and remind them of the failures that they are IRL.

hahahah "mistake". My sides are in orbit.

The only mistake is your dearth of skill to appreciate such an enlightened design decision it was. Gitgud is the cure for all that ails you.

I'M UNDERCOVER DAMNIT

STOP IT I'M OUT OF LIKES DAMMITTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!

I will only buy the game if they say explicitly that MP has no effect on SP.

Then I'm afraid you won't be buying the game...

I don't understand why people want to shove an optional game mode down peoples throat.

Better off playing with people who want to play other than people forced to play.

Sometimes you have to force people to make the right decision. Sometimes I think the endings were just an incentive to press the Multiplayer button. It worked for me.

<snip>

Did ME3 actually require people to play MP well? That would be even worse than I thought. I only knew people had to play it, not that they had to succeed in it.

if your goal is to have control of all possible endings, then no (see the spoiler in post 148, I will not quote myself). I finished the SP campaign as infiltrator in Insanity mode, I found that in order to be successful it didn't require as much "skill" as "thinking out of the box" (what some l33t player would call "cheating"). I was able to complete certain sections of the game simply skipping toward checkpoints, instead of killing all the enemies that showed up.

ETA: Assuming that perhaps you're not familiar with how it worked, you needed to have Effective Military Strength (EMS) over 4000 to be able to choose the game ending you wanted. In SP you got points doing certain missions and scanning planets. These points were halved (multiplied by 0.5, the 50% readiness index) Then only way to increase this multiplier was engaging in MP or playing an awful iOS app (Infiltrator, I think that was the name).

Lot of people complaining against MP being shoved out of our throats believed that it was impossible to get an EMS of 4k without MP. The image on the spoilers proves that it wasn't

Many unenlightened beings said the same about slavery, women's sufferage and racial equality. They were dragged onto the path of enlightenment regardless of these outdated opinions. Now I'm not saying you're a racist, but you are. A racist against the MP Master Race, and the tides of righteous ascension to a higher plane of existence.

Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you

Just make a CO-OP like we had with ME3,don't fill the game with microtransations and avoid the MMO **** and we are fine.

Also PVP would be fine, but I'm afraid it incentive P2W

You do not want someone on your team who doesn't wish to be there. I can promise you that.

In one my Last games I got roped into I actually tried to get myself sync killed. somehow I didn't though which was weird.

And again what about people who buy the game 5 years or more after release who are then potentially screwed over before they begin?

Sounds like lag - it causes "interesting" things sometimes. I don't get the screwed part - you mean content locked because they wouldn't be able to unlock it that late on the game's shelf life?

I don't think the "mandatory" would be that hard coded. It wasn't very popular in ME3 and they pretty much removed all constraints with the Extended Cut.

No mandatory means, in order to truly experience the gameplay, you should have a look at the MP, optimally see what is possible instead of pixelling and pausing your way through the SP and try it out and see for yourself if it's fun for you. If it is, come back and play.

Ideally you won't have to pay2win, because others who like to take it to the extreme will buy fancy skins, bells and whistles, but we need you to add to a good playerbase so the extreme players buy even more extra stuff.

Just stay off the stairs and ramps.  You can't get sync killed on them.

No reason to be afraid. I make the decision freely. If I won't like the game, I shouldn't buy it.

I won't be missing out on something good, because if it were good I would buy it.

I'm perfectly content with my decision. I will buy MEA only if BioWare explicitly states that all aspects of SP are available to players who only play SP.

I haven't played ME3 at all. ME2 was awful, and nothing about ME3's development convinced me I would see an improvement, so I skipped it.

I spent that year playing Skyrim and Crusader Kings 2 instead. I think I made a good call.

And to all who don't get it. Just about every person in mp section started with the thought that it was a very bad idea to include mp in ME3. We'll, we all ate our words and I never get tired of reading these folks always saying "I can't believe how wrong I was."

So join me in ME3mp. Still plenty of pugs just like ever, but always room for more fresh pug milk. And don't worry, I will protect you if you land in my game lobby.

Yep. I thought multiplayer in Mass Effect was the sign of the apocalypse. I played the demo and BOOM. I was hooked.

Unrelated: DAIMP is still horrible.

What we really need is PvP.

Ooh no we don't. I have a bad feeling the the combat will be gutted to cater to that sort of thing.

You like MP that's good I wish You fun, but try to understand me, and don't try please to force me into something I'm not interested in. Explain me, why You have rights to be happy with yours MP game and I don't have rights to enjoy my SP.

That goes both ways; why should I miss out on multiplayer just because you for some reason have the idea that it dilutes your single player game?

I know for a fact that the multiplayer adds almost immeasurable replay value to the game that singleplayer alone does not.

More bigger and better multiplayer in ME:A please.

As long as they're completely separate, and nothing about one affects anything about the other.

I second the motion that I don't want singleplayer to have anything to do with multiplayer.  Use the DAI model please.  To each their own.  I don't care if the multiplayer is there if it doesn't interfere with my ability to fully experience the singleplayer.

A great SP game with MP so I can play with my friends, and even make new online friends with you guys?

Sure, why not. ME3 MP was fun, very fun. And the SP was very fun was well.

So....yeah.

Fun!

Honestly, while I understand that some people love it, I HATE multiplayer. With a fiery passion. I play the absolute bare minimum required for achievements and I usually resent every minute of it. If ME Andromeda arrives with swarms of mp based achievements I will have to seriously consider how much I want to play it and whether it's worth the misery for me. I suffered through Bioshock 2's prolonged mp achievements to get the completion because I couldn't face missing out on the single player and it was nightmarish and I swore never again.

But that graphic shows that you were playing with the DLCs installed. The argument that you can't get 4K EMS dates from before the EC. Back then there wasn't that much EMS in the game because only From Ashes had shipped.
