^^...did you really have to bring that in?

It doesn't count when it's in tiny font. That's like rule number nine of internet discussions.

One of my favorites, Mary Kirby, has never done a romance in a BioWare game.  She has written one of my all time favorite characters too (Varric) and she's worked for the company for years.

Not true. Mary Kirby wrote Merrill in Dragon Age 2.

As well as Sten if you take her joke about it at face value.

You're really going for that gold medal in Olympic mental gymnastics, aren't you?

What was that line from OOTS... "It's like she's got that Monk feat that lets you jump as far as you want, only for her it applies to conclusions."

and other less common stuff (like Demisexuality which one user already posted about)

And then they will demand equal options etc.

As the poster you are referring to, I have never demanded equal options for this. My thread is merely a humble request that Bioware consider thinking about putting it in the game.

Plus they wouldn't need an extra romance. Having one of the bi LIs be demisexual instead of bisexual would work perfectly, like how The Iron Bull was pansexual instead of bisexual.

Yes, i'd like it to be more fair than the previous trilogy was. Meaning, no more "no lesbians, no gay, only bi" romances. One gay lady/dude and one bi and i'm content. I only hope the romances won't be in favor of the straight males only this time.

Oh and, pls no more of this "it's the last mission, i love you, let's f00k".

Someone care to give me the primer on demisexuality?

Here is a link to the thread I made about it. There is a lot of info in the opening post.

But basically, demisexuality is on the sexual-asexual spectrum, and is an orientation where a person only develops sexual attraction towards a person they have developed a strong connection or bond with.

The way I always see this is: That's the canon of YOUR playtrough. In your universe your main character changes races and sexes and such... why can't the other characters be that as well?

30 pages, don't quite have the time to go through it all atm, but do people forget that Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2, did in fact have even romance options.  It was in Mass Effect 3 that the writers took certain characters in certain directions that forced the numbers to be so skewed.

As for romances going forward, I think it's better the writers come up with great characters instead of sitting there being like we need another male romance option because we have to many females, and oh no one of them has to be gay now.

I doubt this is their creative process.

Kelly is my favorite non-squadmate character in the Shepard Trilogy. ^_^

Glad I could help. :)

I doubt this is their creative process.

Bioware has stated its not. They write the characters as characters first, then decide on romance potential and orientation.

More Kelly Chambers-style light relationships would be welcome.

I don't consider her a romance. She was a fish feeder.

Her "relationship" moments were atrocious, no cutscenes, nothing more than her dancing for you and feeding your fish since Timmy couldn't think of a fish feed machine and hired Kelly for this.

Nah, let's leave it the way it is in Mass Effect.

Unless you want to make at least 10 romanceable characters for the game. Straight players got the short stick in Dragon Age. Personally, I find that rather idiotic.

If they make the romance better, more nice cutscenes, more dialogue content, then i'm all for it. Not even Sam was that satisfying as a romance.

Edit: dem typos

Don't undersell Kelly, she had an integral role on the ship even if we as gamers didn't get much functionality out of it. Lore wise Kelly had to be there. But of course if they do that again, it'd be nice if we got more out of their appearance in the game.

I don't find it idiotic. Straight players didn't get the short end of the stick, given straight players(myself included) can play whatever kind of character we want to.

If any gamer is expected to play a character just like them, its a gamer who isn't straight, and they'd do it because they don't have the opportunity most of the time. In their case less options would be them getting shafted, but straight players have the luxury of usually having plenty of options.

Having a few less in a game isn't the end of the world.

If you had read the thread, there have been suggestions for 2, 4, and 6 romances. All of them are equal to or less than the amount in ME 2. So you're 'we'd need TEN!' facade is fairly transparent.
