Blonde hair is hard to create in a way that looks good in Bioware games. I rolled a blonde lead in Inquisition and it worked, so maybe now they can have more blonde companions.
So... Can Romance Be A Little More Fair This Time?

Anders and Cullen. Plus Velanna and Varric if you count non LI companions.
But yeah, DAI particularly really over did the dark hair/grey eyes thing.
Velanna? You mean Vivienne?
*looks at avatar*
I see what you did there
Off topic: Jon Snow is a hero, nothing more to say about it.

ME1
Straight guys - 2
Straight gals - 1
Lesbians - 1
Gay guys - 0
ME2
Straight guys - 3
Straight gals - 3
Lesbians - 1 DLC only
Gay guys - 0
How exactly is this 'even'?
Well as you suggested to me before...why not just play as a female if you want to romance a straight guy(s) or play as a male if you want to romance a straight girl(s)? >.< funny isn't it? Don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot huh?

I bet the people in this thread would support it too, right? After all, it wouldn't be done to meet any quota and wouldn't be 'pandering' to a vocal 'minority' that 'demands' that they 'cater' to them. You know, like small group of guys who complain that Cass and Josephine are ugly and demand that Bioware caters to their need for feminine pretty LIs.
I knew you'd catch my drift Liam. ![]()
Let's see how many here would be okay with BioWare "making the kinds of characters and story Bioware wants" and "not worrying about filling quotas" were they to suddenly no longer be the ones getting pandered to.
But anyways. I'll try to behave. For now.

No, I mean Velanna from DA: Awakening.
Varric?
Blond adjacent? I don't know. I mean color descriptions are subjective, but I wouldn't call his hair color brown or red, particularly in DA2.

Most players of Bioware games do not have access to mods because we play on consoles.
However, at E3 Todd Howard of Bethesda announced that Fallout 4 on the Xbox One would have access to PC mods for free, so perhaps that is slowly changing and in the future consoles can utilize mods created on PC so everyone wins.

I'd go with strawberry blonde for Varric.

I think a better suggestion for you personally would probably be... play any one of literally thousands of games that portray straight relationships and romance subplots only, and don't throw a hissy fit when one developer with a decade long history of including this stuff dials it up to meet popular demand.

Info update suggests that the mods are going to be curated by Bethesda. ****'s gonna be locked down tight, in that case. We'll see how that unfolds.

When did I tell you to romance a guy or play as a girl? Or is that more of the stuff you've been making up?
Also, lol at 'the shoe's on the other foot'. Kiddo, I've lived decades and walked miles with the shoe on the other foot.

Undoubtedly! It's just not gonna be the wild west we have on PC. And I can foresee stuff dealing with romances and that sort of thing being heavily scrutinized.

Good. I'd rather see mods that have purpose. Thinking beyond Fallout 4 and onto other titles(assuming PC mods on consoles gets expanded over the years), I'm wondering what mods could affect a Bioware romance plot.

Mods that remove a gender check, for one.
Ambitious mods that add new romanceable characters, like the dude in DAO whose name escapes me.
