I have been requesting a lady bisexual knight for months now.  I noticed a distinct lack of blonde LIs for the straight male PC in both series, so I figure combine that request, the bisexual lady warrior/knight request, and mix it in with one of the actresses I have a crush on.  Everyone wins!

Well, it's kind of not-so-subtly implied throughout the series the mind meld thing is basically just asari sex. I mean, it might not be sex for you if the images you see/get aren't what you consider sexual, but it's always had this dimension when asari do it regardless of why they're doing it. 

 

So there's kind of a reason why Liara is suddenly in love with you. And it's weird. 

 

Mind-melding isn't always sexual, though it can be sexual. Asari mind-mind with their relatives for example as a way to say farewell, and Shiala does the whole mind-meld thing to give Shepard the cipher.

But the next time we see her, she's really crushing on Shepard. I wasn't familiar with the relative bit, but at least how we see it portrayed in-game, it's always ending up with asari crushing on Shepard.

Shepard is actually 2 for 2 with Asari crushing on him after the mind meld. Shiala wants to see the Captain's Log in ME2.

 

I guess for Asari they are mainly drawn to what's poking around in someone's brain than the external bits.

I'm kind of hoping she'll be poking around on the ark. Bioware did mention that some familiar faces would be returning, which I assume to be minor characters rather than squadmates. I wouldn't complain if characters like Shiala or Gianna Parasini had cameos.

I guess if they do a thing like Dragon Age Keep, players who had her alive can have her be a small role. 

 

There are a few minor NPCs from the trilogy I would love to have return and even get bigger roles.
