I hate numbers..in that 2/2/2 I get one romance... <_<

Is this because of Josephine or set sexualities preventing someone to romance a certain character?
If the former, Bioware started to develop romances outside the party since ME2, and continued in ME3 and DAI. Regardless if They choose to make 4, 6 or whatever number, I don't think they'll go back in making only party LI. That's Not the fault of the 2/2/2 approach, but Bioware's desire of expanding LI outside squadmates/companions.
If the latter...Yeah, unless they'll go DA2's route again some people will be disappointed in the character They want to romance Not available to them.

While we all love options, I don't think they usually have that many resources. If they do another 8 romance game like Inquisition I definitely think yours is better than 4/2/2

Edit: So sorry for the doubble post, the conversation was moving so fast I assumed it would not be.

If they release on the projected date, they had as much development time as Dragon Age: Inquisition. Add to that them not having to work on it for previous-gen consoles and the fact we're(at least as of the moment I'm making this post) stuck as human-only, they'll have a lot more resources for all the aspects of the game, including romance

I realize there's no end of terrified speculation that China or whoever is going to conquer the world, but that's hardly a reflection of reality.

I didn't say they're going to conquer the world. What I said was that today the "West" has divested itself of the space programe. Even if you assume the West will continue to be as prosperous, unless you assume that China completely collapses the assumption the "West" will dominate space exploration is unjustified.

Right, but to be fair, that doesn't mean that you only get one romance.  It means that you get two romances, one of whom is a lesbian.  There's kind of a huge difference there.

I see.
I understand, Though i don't think it's the fault of 2/2/2 approach. There was never this options in Bioware games. Even in DA2 Isabela was bisexual.

I just wish a sweet Asari, doesnt even matter the class, to romance.
A ME game without a Asari romance is not a ME game.

I'm sure a lot of Shepards romanced themselves silly to that photo of Liara on the Normandy's desk.

Well lets agree into disagree then.
LOTSB was one of the most enjoyable moments in ME2, without it the game would feel incompleto to me, so I shall count it.

Fair enough. LOTSB is great, but I played ME2 before it without problem.
I don't mind another Asari LI, but I'm fine either way.

There will be an asari romance.  They'll want to capitalize on at least a portion of Liara's fandom and the Kirk-Alien escapade seekers out there.

I'd find it amusing as hell if this new asari squadmate simply wasn't interested in romancing the Andromedagonist, though.

It's not about depriving people of what they want, but about the nature of the character, a member of the sexy blue alien species who simply wasn't attracted to/interested in the protagonist for whatever reasons.  That I'd find amusing.

So Samara in ME2?

She actually seemed interested, depending on the dialogue choices.

Yeah, Samara seemed very much to be of an 'in another life, where there was no Code, we could be more than we are' attitude towards Shepard.

I honestly want to have an asari squadmate who will issue a flat 'not a chance' towards the PC if they try and flirt with them. Preferably, I'd want this asari character to explore gender fluidity and examine the asari culture OUTSIDE of their reproductive practices and sex lives.

I hold little hope for the second part of that, but still, one can dream.

I also suspect that we'll not only get an asari squaddies, but she'll be the bisexual romance.  Just seems like what they'll do.  I'm prepared to be (and hope that I'm) wrong, though.

Spoiler
