All female crew, all female squad, everyone is bi.
Discuss.
I tried this once, killed off all the male squad members I could leaving only James alive since he can't die. The whole thing was very amusing to say the least.

Miranda also survives being shot at that point regardless of her loyalty.
What I find weird is that Zaeed isn't a correct choice for the fire team leader. He's got proven leader experience and even though it ended in betrayal, so did Garrus' leadership and he gets to count as a valid choice.
Hey, guys since we are getting a bit off track...
What kind of romance do you want?
I still want a lesbian Vetran type.
or maybe a tough/capable alien
Really I love them, but a few less sweet options would be nice. Between Merrill, Leliana, Liara, Sam Traynor, and Josephine maybe a tough/cool/hardcore lesbian/female bisexual option?
Asexual Salarian romance! Preferably a dude, but a lady would be an interesting political story to contemplate. Younger than Mordin. (What's not cradle-robbing for Salarians? Sixteen? Erk. Ah. He could be twenty. Yes, better.) It could be a situation akin to Thane, since Salarians don't live that long when compared to humans. That's an interesting thing to consider.
I have a great fondness for NPC romances, so I wouldn't mind if that was the case here, but a biotic salarian (rare, yes, but this mission is important, and, stuff) would be quite cool to have on the team. As a sentinel, perhaps.
I'm torn between wanting the Salarian to be a Super Spy and a Super Nerd. [WEIGHS HANDS] Could be some odd combo, where you think they're sleek and cool but then they flip out over some Andromeda butterfly.
I'm assuming that not-Shep's gender would still be up to the player in this hypothetical, but with an otherwise 100% female crew who are all down to clown regardless of lady bits or dongly parts.
Then I say that BioWare pretty much did that with Dragon Age 2 and it isn't regarded as a good game.

DA2 is ****** awesome and people simply never gave it a proper chance because they wanted more DA:O. Hawke is one of the best protagonists BioWare ever created, the story just flows (and I like how it skips ahead several years), the companions are all memorable (not a single boring one) and the entire game was just so funny. Except for the tragic parts, which were awesome, too.
Of course it wasn't perfect, but what game is? Out of all the DA games, DA2 is the one that's the most fun to play. DA:O rates a little higher but it does have some very tedious elements which means it's not fun all the time.
DA2 is ****** awesome. It needs to be said as often as possible.

saying things over and over again doesn't necessarily mean they're true. I envy your mindset though, for me DAII will always be unredeemable garbage and money wasted standing right there on my shelf.

But don't Salarians have no romantic/sex drive unless its an Asari?
But don't Salarians have no romantic/sex drive unless its an Asari?
They don't have a desire to have sex for pleasure, rather only for reproduction. They still can become romantically attached to others though, like the Salarian looking for a present for his Asari wife with her daughter on Illium.
But don't Salarians have no romantic/sex drive unless its an Asari?
I've thought of this myself, actually. And it could be entirely impossible, which would make me very sad indeed. The fact that Salarians can, however, have emotional, romantic relationships with Asari makes me think it's at least possible. Perhaps Salarians with romantic drives are as rare as humans without them.

I'm happily in the middle of those views.DA2 is, was, and will always be trash
Maybe they really should eliminate romances. Zero options for everybody is probably the most objective definition of "fair" out there.
I'd be okay with that, too.

Then we'd have threads complaining about Bioware pandering to the aromantic asexual demographic.

Ideal love interest: A human man with Mordin's skill set and Miranda's personality. Early 30's, ginger, gay/bi.
And I'd also love for my female protagonist to not get stuck with the sweet/cutesy girl for once. Bioware always makes the bad*** girls straight.

For male romance option, I'd like to see a Kal'Reegar type Quarian. Someone who's a tough, capable, no nonsense soldier with a bit of a sense of humor. Very dry though. I personally prefer the 'strong silent' type for male LI's. It's why I like Kaidan so much. And I think a male Quarian could do this well. And obviously I'd like him to be gay/bisexual.
For female romance option, I'm a little torn. My first wish would be a badass lesbian krogan warlord. Just tough as nails and super butch. Like super butch and unapologetic about it. But that's almost certainly not going to happen.
So I'm going to go with a female turian. Someone with a little edge to her. Maybe a former smuggler/mercenary who has a change of heart and sides with you. Someone who slowly opens up over time.
I want a ME version of Asajj Ventress kind of or at least a badass ruthless take no crap don't let no one stand in the way of what she wants female LI open to females. Heck have her be well written enough and I think I would be completely fine if it never got anything beyond just being bedmates and she tosses you under the bus for her own goals if needed. Though I think I may just have a soft spot for semi nuts women at least in fiction. I hope.

You know I love the super villainess for LI concept. ![]()

Zaeed always gets his entire team killed. Every story he tells. Garrus got betrayed, but short of that he's portrayed as a tactical genius.
Zaeed was only a sole survivor in one mission, which was a suicide mission inside of a turian cruiser. All the other stories of his merely involved completing dangerous missions with high casualties. He's no worse than ruthless or war hero Shepard in that regard.
He should've been a viable fire team leader(and a manfu for femshep).

And I would wear a little crown and declare myself the demographic Bioware's pandering to.
(I'm already a bit convinced I am what with the whole trailer, which was so hardcore pandering to all my nerd buttons. So be warned.)
My two personal "wants" are as follows:
Male human adept. So far we've only had one male biotic forgot about Jacob, sorry, and furthermore, in the lore, from what I know, the most powerful named biotics have all been women. I want a younger guy (preferably a man of color, but whatevs)strong biotic, but with a control problem. Like he always must remain in control. Like the anti-Jack, and his skillset will reflect that.
Biotic Protector
Singularity
Lash
Dominate
I'm debating between Singularity and Stasis, and I feel he might need another primer/detonator (but warp and reave are kind of overdone) Maybe Dark Sphere?
Secondly, the gaylien: A Batarian Sentinel. Brash, uncouth, and sore about the way the galaxy treated/abandoned his people before.
Barrier
Energy Drain
Incinerate
Slam (the True Miranda Slam)

I've been talking about a hardened mercenary scoundrel type, but at the end of the day, I know my favorite would be something tender and sentimental.
My absolute favorite Bioware characters always tend to be the ones that I see as intellectual. Dorian, Solas, Mordin. The pensive guile heroes with a lot of capacity for emotion. I also lean toward the serious relationship arcs a little over the ones with a focus on being fun.
My favorite ME character is Mordin, and as much as I was heartbroken that there wasn't a way for me to save him in ME3, at the end of the day I couldn't think of a more meaningful way for him to go out than saving an entire species. Mordin provided both the moment that made me laugh the most (model of a scientist Salarian), and the moment that actually made me cry (Scientist Salarian, reprise). That was a perfect friendship arc for me.
My ideal romance arc would provide something similar, in that it would run the gamut emotion wise. Intelligence is the sexiest characteristic I can think of, followed by a good sense of humor, followed by strong convictions and integrity.
If that were wrapped in a rebellious, scoundrelly package with sharp cheekbones and piercing eyes, I would not complain.

In fairness, there's a significant difference between Sidonis' betrayal and Vido's. Vido betrayed Zaeed because his ambition outweighed his loyalty, whereas Sidonis betrayed Garrus because he was tortured and threatened with death.
