..... which didn't actually happen.

It's purely Mordin's fanfiction. And thank god.

How do you know it didn't happen?

Because it's a noir film - like. It's very obvious.

Not to mention it goes against what he said in ME2. He has clearly said he's not interested in any sexual things (correct me if i'm wrong, it's been long since i've played ME2)

He might not be interested at that time, but in the past he was.

I think its more you nothing want him to have sex with Aria.

No, because most people know it's a film noir fiction. :) Read it carefully (or hear).

I'm sorry.  You seem to have misspelled "Kaidan".  How embarrasing!  ;)

Well, to be fair, I was going to add him, but then realized how redundant that would be.

Actually, with the Citadel DLC from ME 3, not.

There is a datapad with audio-recordings from him somewhere on the ground in your/andersons apartment, that i found 2 days ago, after he died.

I even found an old forum-entry.

Enjoy the imagination.

(not saying he is telling the truth... but still)

Still don't see how you can affirm it.

What would be the problem if Mordin and Aria had a relationship?

... that we know of. ;)

Some of the non-LI companions speak of past relationships, but that doesn't fully define their sexuality. That Kasumi had a boyfriend doesn't mean she isn't bi.

by that logic though, couldn't the same be said of Steve? From what I know, he never gets a flirt option with FShep, so one could say he's bi, but not interested in her.

From the way it's been said. If it was just telling his "adventures", he could just do so without playing this film noir shite. Besides, i'm not the only one who clearly sees it's a made up story in a film noir style. :)

But hey, if you want to believe it, that's ok.

@Elder, lol "relationship". Mordin and Aria? Really? I can see them hooking up (vomits) but a relationship? Pls. :P

So you only like if Aria hooks up with a female?

And there is nothing indicating its not true.

I intended in a more general sense, including hooking up.
Not that I see a problem if They had a full relationship as well. We know of asari that had relationship with salarians.

Mordin's recording was a film noir spoof of a Raymond Chandler novel. It never happened, couldn't have happened that way and makes absolutely no sense in the timeline.

Mordin got his scars from work with STG on Tuchanka (pitchfork incident), Aria knew of him because he was running a public clinic on Omega and, most importantly, Aria never needed him to take care of someone. She has more than enough people herself. Offering her body as a reward is completely out of character for her, just think back to when you were recruting all three merc bands for her, one of the leaders expected Aria to put out for him and she called him delusional.

Also, Aria is a former commando/huntress (Aleena), I doubt she would have left Mordin alive. Nor would Mordin have been able to work on Omega with her wanting him dead.

No, nothing wrong with that.

That's why i don't believe it. Both Mordin and Aria were too OOC.

Especially if Aria was mad with him after how he "tricked" her, she clearly wouldn't act like she had no problem with Mordin being on Omega and helping people. And she didn't had any.

Edit: and Aria clearly respected Mordin. So yeah, i saw nothing that implied she was angry with him in ME2, as this... "noir fiction" describes her.

It really comes down to interpretation is my point.  I also imagined sexual tension between mShep and Kaidan in ME, but just assumed it was my gay old brain looking for hoyay where it didn't exist.  Then I remember having a giant bisexual flag in my mind when Kaidan gave his whole "losing you was like losing a limb" speech in ME2.  Combined with the fact that he was also the opening scene character for me since I didn't romance Liara and it was pretty obvious to me that Kaidan was into Shep.  I was really shocked when he wasn't a romance option in the game and just chalked it up to the fact that he wasn't really a romance option for femShep either.  So when he was revealed as bisexual in ME3, it was a no brainer for me.  I was like, "Duh, the guy who you've had sexual tension with for years and who basically confessed his love to you in the last game is bisexual?  Uh, yeah."

That threw me off a lot in general. In ME1 and ME2, it doesn't really feel like that Kaidan romance can happen because of the total lack of any possible reciprocation from a ManShep, and in the series where relationships are almost entirely about what Shepard does, that suggested to me that there was nothing going on there, or at least, that it was the intention of the writers.

I wonder, was Kaidan intended to be a romance for ManShep during development of ME2? I'm pretty sure I remember that he was intended in ME1 and it got nixed, but as for ME2, I haven't the slightest idea.

I think that was around the time that "Shepard couldn't be gay"

It's unclear to me to still about the dev's intention for Kaidan for ME1.  I've heard that he was intended as a bisexual option but it was nixed due to time constraints.  I've also heard that this wasn't the case.

For ME2, I think it was pretty clear that both Ashley and Kaidan weren't meant to be 'full romances' in that game.  If you had already romanced them, you get a picture on your desk, the cutscene plays out pretty much the same on Eden Prime, and you get a follow up email from them.  Outside of that, they have no role.  I think that the dev team was either intending to bring them back in ME3 and was using ME2 to create conflict for the romance OR they were playing it out safely to see how people would react to nixing them as LI's.

I'd love to get my hands on the ME romance data.  Who was the most popular romance?  What % did each LI get picked?  How many people 'cheated' or dropped Kaidan and Ashley (and Liara) in ME2?  How many went back to them in ME3?  How many didn't romance anyone at all?  I think that would be telling.

(I suspect that the most popular romances were Liara, Miranda, Tali, and Garrus - in that order)

I truly consider this to be the lowest point in Bioware's history when it comes to their inclusive approach.  The only one that rivals it, for me, is the cruel 'lead-on' for s/s options for SWTOR (which has still never happened in earnest, despite being told that they were working to implement it three years ago).

Why aren't there gay options for Shepard?

"Because Shep isn't gay"

But FemShep can be a lesbian with Liara, right?

"Nope.  Asari are mono-gendered, so it doesn't count......" (ignoring that the "mono" gender is female, as stated by the in-game codex)

But what about Kelly Chambers?  Isn't she a human and a woman and FemShep can get get with her, right?

".............."

(ME3 comes out and there are suddenly gay options for mSheps........)

@daveliam: I don't know about the order, but I agree on those four probably being the most popular.

There is at least option to pick "I miss him" to answer Kelly I think after encountering him in Horizon. I don't know what that option includes though.
