I think we should get rid of the romance options. I sexually identify as an attack helicopter and bioware has yet to put in a romance option for me and am sick and tired of being **** on.

Too late. There a dev quote pretty much confirming romances (specifically alien romances) being included.
To be honest, I think the romances are worth it. I know it can be an issue on BSN, but I'd hate to see them remove them altogether. If they did a new IP, then I'd be cool with them not having them (although I'd be disappointed, to be honest). I'd rather not see them remove them from already existing IPs.

Anyway, if this does turn out to be a new series (I say "series" because trilogies are stupid) and not a standalone game, I'm fine with no romances to give us a chance to get to know our buddies.
I would personally miss that aspect of a BW RPG title if they removed it entirely. I agree that having a harem to choose from that effectively resets at certain points is dumb, but having only a couple of options limits the choice and diversity (not that I think that ALL diversity should have to be catered for, that's pretty unreasonable due to game size/mechanic limitations). I certainly wouldn't like singular option, 'here's your waifu, I hope you like it', because I might not like the character.

That's probably true a lot of the time, but do you really believe everyone is like that? You do know there's more people than basement dwellers and neckbeards who play Mass Effect, right? Some are even married *gasp*. And these married people still gush over their romances.... and their spouse posts along with them. Just for example.

It reminded specifically of the part of the artist talking about bonding with their partner over the romance in these games. Link is NSFW by the way nothing dirty in the comic itself the site just has a lot of adds with nude people usually.
