It's not about calculating data by machines, it's about building a model.
For time to kill model I need:
1) Exact values of enemies
2) exacts values of damage done, abilities, attack order, rotation, everything pretty much connected with attacking.
So this model works for specific enemy, for specific build and specific gear. I've calculated this type of models in many games, mostly for burst type pvp builds, but in general I can easily say what is generic result of this.If you want to analyze every type of that combination of skills, classes and enemies you can. For me it's not worth it,
That's half the fun of min-max! Joys of math! I've already done it for my own builds & gear, as you may have already suspected, known or extrapolated. 'Knowing everything involved' has its advantages of course. The primary disadvantage is knowing just how little everyone else knows and face-palming at their poorly extrapolated conclusions from limited understanding to begin with.
But in everything else, crit damage works only on crits, and attack works on everything. If you introduce time to kill model,
Crits only work when the damage can crit is not news, however you ignore the fact you can guarantee crits either through cunning promotes or passives.
Attack power may work on everything but not always in a useful manner, especially when you do analyze using the time to kill model: Long shot, Power Chord, etc. Since the final damage is often not lethal as with your 60 damage / 2 hit / 100 hp example, a 10% increase in attack power is often far less than 10% increase in final damage. Longshot that is 2.5k turns into 2.6k at best (and I'm being very generous here) with +10% attack power for example.
