Or at least a concept of it? It's always been a still image of a planet, or at least the major ones (if memory serves). I dunno I could be way off, but they do go into "hyperspace" after he chooses a location.
I've been wondering, was that the new galaxy map that they were showing?

At that time, myself and others pointed out that it was very similar to the appearance of Andromeda, especially in the infrared spectrum, and that it was clearly a barred spiral galaxy that was not the Milky Way. That's how all the Andromeda speculation got started.
So, I suspect that we will still have access to the entire galaxy, and that something analogous to the relay network exists in Andromeda. Intra-nebula or cluster travel will probably be way more immersive though, by what we have seen so far.

It's most likely just a stylized animation. If the leak is true, then the game takes place in a single cluster. I personally find that to be unlikely at this point. Why? Because we predicted that the game would take place in Andromeda a year ago when they showed the new, placeholder galaxy map.

I think it more likely the placeholder was simply a placeholder, possibly a devilish hint they dropped intentionally. Direct quotes speaking to Flynn and Walters
The idea of having the slate wiped clean, so to speak, is very attractive to both Flynn and Walters; Flynn mentioned that it’s long been a regret of Walters that they spread the Mass Effect story far out over the entire Milky Way galaxy, with the game’s galactic map showing a civilization that appears to stretch from arm to arm without too many unexplored nooks and crannies.
"With Andromeda," said Walters, "our goal is to start that at a much smaller scale—though the scales are still massive—and give you a sense that there is much more to explore, rather than saying ‘here’s the whole galaxy.’"

But now you are going to cram multiple new civilizations into a single star cluster? That, to me, would strain credulity even more than the voyage to Andromeda in the first place. I think it is a poor choice.
Now, that said, you know how they showed the concept art of what we all speculated was some sort of alien relay-like structure? I would TOTALLY be on board with a game in which you DONT have a full galaxy map (because you are the newcomers), but that is spread out across multiple star clusters, connected by relay-like things, and basically you have no concept of where you are at in the greater space of Andromeda because you are literally mapping out the frontier (to you).
That would be more believable, and I would be okay with that. But not a single star cluster, even if it is a big one.

Ah, I missed that quote from E3. Bummer. I actually find that disappointing. The point of having a civilization across the whole galaxy is that intelligent life, is actually probably rare. It was believable that these species of the galaxy had their homeworlds separated by tens of thousands of light years.

The supposed leak, which after the Andromeda announcement appears to have been legit, mentioned two new alien races native to the Helios cluster. The first is called the Remnant, and are members of a once powerful civilization that collapsed, and the Khet, who are apparently hostile to the Milky Way colonists.
The two new species mentioned in the recent leak also might match with an earlier rumors from someone who claimed to have been part of a fan panel at PAX in 2013. That person claimed that they were shown concepts of two new races, one described as arrogant, and looking somewhat like more skeletal Turians. The other species was described as advanced and ancient, and he/she thought they looked metallic or rocky and almost like golems. In the teaser trailer one the enemies the N7 guy is fighting do have silhouettes that look vaguely Turian, and the Remnant and Khet from the leak do seem like they might match up with the two concepts claimed to have been shown at PAX.
