That's because the demon isn't doing anything bad and helped the family, and makes the boy happy too. If the ram went demon and attacked everyone, then ran away and Jimmy asked us to retrieve it despite that, and Cole witnessed it, I doubt he'd be cool with it. As long as you aren't hurting anyone, Cole will always approve. If you kill the ram, it doesn't affect his approval though. Just don't kill the Nugs in Crestwood's flooded cave. ![]()

I attacked him soon after the dialogue ended. I was expecting it to be a demon, and when I saw its color I thought, "rage demon". Yep.

It is not. It is a friendly spirit, but it becomes a rage demon if you attack it, because then it's forced to act against its nature.I did that by accident, because bear attacket it. That damn ram is...

Rage demons aren't known for their subtlely. If this had been a rage demon before, we would've known, and it doesn't act like one if you don't attack it.

The one in the orphanage in Denerim seemed subtle enough to me, what with the whole possession shtick.
It even needed to be taunted before manifesting.
So again BS.
Rage Demons have done this exact same garbage before.

I thought more about this and you're right. All is good. I still think there is a "double meaning" in this quest though.
....Next thing we know One Eyed Jimmy and his pet demon will turn out to be villains/stray gods in upcoming DLC ![]()
