Was wondering if anyone knows the music piece that is played when you arrive at Skyhold, the Inquisitor is made Inquisitor, and the 4 musketeers Inquisitor and advisers enter the ruined throne room? I have the soundtrack, but can't find that very piece. Love it - especially the tribal/taiko drumming, and a bit bummed out that it's not on the soundtrack. :(

I've listened to it again and it appears it's a mix of different tracks. I can't determine the first part of it though. The part when the inquisitor raises the sword is a mix of the ending of "Journey to Skyhold" and the main theme. The part with the drums when they enter skyhold hall is too short to be a specific track I guess. They just use the same drums as in the main theme although it's not the same rhythms.

I love that part! Sadly the OST only has specific songs from the game, and not the bg stuff. I think the Journey to Skyhold piece should have included the PC becoming Inquisitor and entering the throne room, since it's all part of it.

First time I heard Journey to Skyhold, I seriously got shivers and then the DAO theme played. Same with Return to Skyhold. Love both of those tracks so much!

So did I, followed by "YES! The best music piece in the game (according to me)!" I've only just started playing DAI, and the first time I heard the group singing "Dawn will come", I got wet eyes, followed by goosebumps as I realised it was the main theme music. DAI certainly has some totally amazing musical pieces that suit the game so well. Trevor Morrison deserves all the accolades he can get for it.

Oh yes! I loved the music in DAO and DA2 specifically when you battled, but nothing was more emotional to me than in DAI when my Herald was about to give up and everyone began singing the main theme, then it cuts to Solas telling you what to do, and showing you not everything is lost as you venture to Skyhold and then its epic reveal occurs as the music reaches its peak.

I've wondered if some of the music isn't borrowed from Kingdoms of Amalur, Reckoning. It is the portion with what sounds like two flutes in harmony that you hear walking around in the Hinterland sometimes. The two flutes warble back and forth between two notes for a measure or two and then go up a half-step for another one or two measures and back down again. Considering they are both EA Games, I imagine the cost of borrowing the music would be very inexpensive.
