Remember how in ME1-3, you can choose whether you were a:
[Pre-service]
Spacer
Colonist
Earthborn
with
[Psych profile]
War Hero
Ruthless
Sole Survivor
What do you speculate could be our pre-service and psych profile?

Whatever options there are, hopefully there will be an MEA version of Ruthless. That's all I really care about.
Hmm, well Earthborn is out of question it seems. Colonist will suit pretty much everyone in Andromeda. I guess Spacer can still work.
Personally I'd prefer to explore different levels of society. Outlaw, commoner, noble, so to speak. Only they should have an impact on conversations.
If Pathfinder Initiative is a private organization I'd expect different backgrounds - military, crime, neutral (merc).
Or maybe our character is former military and there are three events that lead to him leaving the navy...
Spacer/Colonist can stay...Earthborn would change because maybe our character was born on the way to the new galaxy.
Feral? lol
Our new protagonist is in the Alliance Navy.
But Yeah I could see Spacer/Colonist working for pre-service.

Does this come from the last year E3 presentation? When N7 armored guy was called "Your Hero". Because it seems they changed things in the meantime. N7 guy is no longer the protagonist.

I don't see the character being some Joe Schmo.. Our hero may not be N7 but I believe he's still military. I don't see him/her being a merc, some dock worker that stumbles upon a big adventure...
The character we saw in the cinematic trailer could be a mentor, a squadmate, or they could just say thats not our hero to throw us off. Who knows. But I believe s/he is Alliance Military in the "pathfinder" division.

Personally I'd prefer for the protagonist not be in the military during the events of the game. I'd love to play some random guy caught up in the events he never wished to take part of.
Spacer and colonist can still be used for the background. But the implications could be different this time.
If we are not N7 yet we are exploring for the military then maybe we can choose as psychological profile between corsair, smuggler, and bounty hunter or mercenary. We could have been a han solo or a bobba fet before working for the alliance how cool is that? ![]()
If they go the Dragon Age route, then the ME:A hero is going to be a space colony janitor or something that gets mixed up in some nasty stuff. ![]()
escaped mental patient
lol isnt related to the topic but I wouldve paid for this Ending DLC if the real ending of the trilogy was in fact Shepard was a mental patient and everyone we ever encountered was either other patients or workers at the facility...lmao Sorry had to say this.

If you're going off of the "N7" in the trailer, didn't Bioware say that he/she wasn't the protagonist?
EDIT - ignore, I saw your later post. My opinion? I don't want our protag associated with the military at all - I want something new.
