War seldom has happy endings.
War always has happy endings.... All the survivors who return to their families who don't have PTSD, the side that wins, all those who benefit from war (and there are a lot)...war is politics, and those who achieve their aims have happy endings.

Actually i never choose destroy, because i can't imagine Shepard continue with his/her life after the reapers are gone. I am not sure i would want to live on. The Hero should sacrifice him or herself for the many sometimes, and i always go for that. So in regards to Andromeda, this fits me perfectly.

Killing Shepard was a brilliant idea - having a chance to make a new protagonist is one of the things that makes me most excited about ME:A.
Hell i hope we get the chance to make a new protagonist in every game following this one, It breeds new life into a series and offer new experiences every time instead of just repeating the same set-up over and over to point where it becomes ridiculous (like Halo).

Shepard is gone, get over it. If you want Shepard back -- create your own fan faction or replay ME1-3 and pretend its ME:A.

The franchise is more than one protagonist.
Anyway, this sub-forum has nothing to do with Shepard, so this thread is off topic.

@Maniccc: That is the most pleasantly delusional view of war I've ever heard.
Sun Tzu would think you are very dangerous - war was always a failure to him.

So hoping the new protagonist isn't some pre-defined knock off of Shepard.
I'd like a little more agency in my RPG characters thanks.

This fantasy war was for survival not politics. The greatest heroes in struggles like those are generally the greatest martyrs.

Surely two galaxies are large enough for more than one hero?

It's not a view, it's reality. I think war is horrible, but that does not change the facts about it, about why it is used, and what it is.

Let Shepard retire, he has done more than enough for his species and for his galaxy. Let the new guy fix the other galaxy.

Hell let's set up stud fees for breeding rights to him. American Pharaoh is pulling down 7 million a year for winning the triple crown, Shepard should be worth at least 700 million a year.

Of course war always has happy endings. History is written by the winner.
