Well, if it is not last DLC, ok then. I mean, it has been 6 month and we got only one DLC so far... which I haven't even bought yet. Give me more story, Bioware, please :(

And am I the only one feeling that this Solas revelation/confrontation should have happened in the base game? It would fix some problems with the story. Like, you finally defeat Corypoop, and then Solas is like "Now be a good inquisitor and give me the orb", and then he turns into a huge wolf and you fight and the orb breaks in the process, and he runs away... I don't know  ...

Anyway, I would probably buy it. We'll see

But I would recommend playing JoH. It's got a good story, even if not the story many people are hoping for. It really was quite enjoyable.

I think Mother Giselle hinted at its fate. Once they are not needed, they will sheathe their swords until needed again.

The things is, you can't do that, and you're locked into not retiring and having a fully operational Inquisition at the end of the game. They obviously still want to make use of the Inquisition. In my opinion, the best time to sheathe swords is right after Corypheus' defeat, but it's okay, because I don't want to anyway :P

Explore diverse, new areas

"Explore"

I hope it won't be similar to JoH. I want a story, cutscenes and cinematic camera conversations. I would even pay extra $$ for that type of dlc.

Well, we also got BE. For free....

And just for you to know - there's another paid DLC on the Origin list (was surprised to see it), it's a cosmetic one - Spoils of Avvar (5 mounts,2  armor sets decorations and such). I don't think it has been announced in any way.

Not much, I know. Even MP-players did not have much, especially considering the critical game-braking bugs from the first MP DLC.

As for the OP - I really hope that it's somewhat true. It's obvious that DAI had no proper ending, and it's not like ME3, which had endings one could at least argue about.  The game IS left unfinished. Hopefully they are not leaving it like that, even DA2 ending is perfect and satisfactory compared to what they've done with DAI. It's not even an ellipsis, it's more like a comma. But I'd rather be sceptical and not build up any hopes. It's healthier this way.

Both the other survey leaks turned out to be true so I'm inclined to think this one is too but we probably wont see it until the end of summer.  I expect we're getting a Deep Roads dlc and a dwarf inspired appearance pack like the recently released Avvar one first.

I'm not sure about the Qunari being involved though,  maybe an ally Inquisitor can work with them up to a certain plot point? Or there's a "The Qun Demands" thing going on and we're warned to stay out of it but of course we can't so they become an enemy faction?

Mostly though I think the Qunari are involved in this final dlc for the same reason Cory was the bad guy in Legacy; to set up the next game.

I'm curious.  Usually DLC comes in threes.  In fact, I was a little surprised DAII only had two.  The ME series had three for ME2/3.  Of course, out of those, I'd say Shadow Broker and Citadel did the best.  I've heard rumor...RUMOR, mind you...that Darkspawn and the Fade are the popular choices. The survey kinda goes along with that concept, a little different than what I was imagining...

PERSONALLY, and this is IMO, with NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER to back it up, but I personally think that the next two DLC packs will be:

First, the Darkspawn.  We've touched upon the origin on the Blight, I think that we will dig deeper, potentially touching upon the next Big Bad of the series.  Also, I think...or hope that we will touch upon what happened to whomever was left in the Fade.  Another hope is that if we DO explore their fate, we will see a cameo by the surviving Hawke or one of their former companions.  Again, that is a HOPE.

Second, the Dread Wolf.  Also, Qunari.  I think that the Qunari will factor into the next game in a much more impactful way.  Like Assassin, they will delve into the Qunari, with a potential teammate who will offer a newer perspective on the Qunari.  So far, we have Sten, Tallis, and the Iron Bull.  They represent two of the three pillars of society.  I think we might see the third.  Unravelling the secrets of the Dread Wolf, and those who were directly impacted by their actions will be explored.  ESPECIALLY if the Inquisitor has a personal motive for seeking them out.

I DON'T expect the HoF to show up.  Do I think it could be done?  ABSOLUTELY!  They managed to give Hawke a personality, why not the HoF?  A blank slate?  ONLY at the beginning of the game.  Besides, they already introduced the idea of personality through their actions.  A ruthless monster doesn't do all those good deeds and save people.  Nor does a heroic all loving merciful hero look at Branka, and go...'Hey, lets do that!  I'm ALL for pouring molten lyrium on people!  Start with Oghren!  He smells!'   They pretty much established a personality through your choices already.

Those are my thoughts.  Could I be wrong?  It's VERY, VERY possible.  Could I be right?  Slim chance, but I can hope.   B)

Depends. Am I going to get any character content this time, unlike JOH? That's what I sold my soul to you for, Bioware.

Same here. I couldn't possibly care less about pointless BS like new gear/schematics, or new game modes, or tougher fights, or whatever. What I want is quality time with the characters, stories and moments that focus on or at least closely involve the Inquisitor and her companions and advisors. Conversations, cutscenes, chances to interact with my favourites, to enjoy and deepen the bonds we forged -- not just being a passive, ignored bystander to one or two intra-party NPC banters and scenery commentary.

Just so long as they 1) Wrap up the Solas plot & 2) provide a conclusion to the inquisition and it's characters, I'll likely purchase the content.

All the stuff about the Darkspawn, Qunari & Dwarfs I don't give a hoot about. I didn't care about the Avvar so I didn't purchase JoH.

They are just side stories that I am not interested in.

Seems legit. If I recall, Qunari character models were found in the game files already.

Then again, the story setup seems kind of lame. Do we really need to save the world yet again? Only this time in a $15 DLC? Is there any reason we couldn't have some kind of story that still involves uncovering cool mysteries and lore but on a more personal level, not just "SAVE THE WORLD!" levels?

Also kind of amazed that BioWare/EA would only pump out 2 DLC for Inquisition after the huge praise the game received last year. But if something is coming, I'd imagine it would be sooner rather than later. The game is getting on 8 months old now and you usually don't see much DLC for these kinds of games more than 12 months out.

The premise sound less "save the world" and more "spare the Inquisition" to me. I like the sound of this dlc quite a bit and hope that it proves accurate as a setup for Dragon Age 4 moving on to the Tevinter/Qunari conflict. For the record, if given the option, I would save the day with the Inquisition winning out; but opting to dismantle the organization having accomplished the mission as stated by Cassandra & Leliana in the prologue.

I'm expecting 3-4 DLCs including JoH in total, 5 seems overly optimistic.

I feel that we will get at least three story-based dlc's for sure. They've implied that something involving the deep roads is coming, and that the dread wolf stuff will be dealt with too. If those happen and this survey premise are all separate, then that makes four (with JoH). Hopefully a part of any one of these later releases will include the new Divine's coronation.

That's the part that seems very random.

No. The dialogue of the Qun and those who follow it does not suggest that they would avoid confrontation with the Inquisition down the road. The Ben-Hassrath alliance was one of convenience, we will face the Qunari whether we worked together against Corypheus or not.

The significance of this dlc sounds worth a measly $15 to me!

@Fearsome1

I meant it seemed random in the sense of, "You'll be going after Solas, and fighting Assassins, and exploring mysteries of the Fade, OH and fighting the Qunari army for reasons"

The more I think about this and the more this seems plausible. The Inquisition is too powerful to be carried safely on to the next game and I think they'd take the chance to drastically re-size it, or dismantling it altogether. I wonder what will happen to the Inquisitor.

As things stand right now, speculation-wise, I'd definitely buy this Expansion/DLC.

Actually the Inquisition is very easy to carry on to the next game, since indications say the next game will move to the Northern countries, away from the Inquisition's powerbase.

I would be up for more DLC. But I am just wondering about how the Qunari part would play in. Would it be too much like in DA:2? And will it be like DA:O - Awakenings, which was a much longer DLC? So I'm a little skeptical on some parts.

I'm curious. Usually DLC comes in threes. In fact, I was a little surprised DAII only had two. The ME series had three for ME2/3.

DA2’s post-launch DLC and expansion plan was abrogated early, and there was, apparently, no interest in a GOTY version on the part of retailers. Presumably EA BioWare decided it just wasn’t worth it to finish their plans with DA2.

I tend to assume the leaked survey is legitimate and its primary purpose appears to gauge whether there’s actually enough interest. If the response proves to be disappointing nobody is ever going to get this DLC.

The Qunari invasion is actually in line with the Arishok’s threat in DA2 (at least, in my playthrough) that they’ll return. The chaos in southern Thedas certainly would provide a golden opportunity.

A couple of zones can probably be cheaply produced, even if they are intended to be further north in warmer climates. Assets for desert and jungle environments already exist, and these are actually a better fit if the events take place in warm climates in northern Thedas. A Tevinter fortress style also exists, as do arms and armour. Add a few original assets (maybe ones that already exist but did not make it into DA:I) and you’re mostly done regarding the visual design.

My hunch, however, is that this DLC will not materialise. This survey wouldn’t exist unless they have serious doubts this is financially worth it. I suspect we’ll see smaller, cheaper cosmetic DLC that has very low value for money but high returns on investment instead.
Regarding the speculations that there’s a ‘middle’ second major 15 dollar DLC that is being developed now, could be. It’s possible EA BioWare analysed JoH sales figures after they started work on the second DLC, which made them decide to put out a survey first to see if it made any sense making a third one.

Fun to speculate, but only time will tell. I tend to check out BioWare DLC’s by way of playthroughs on Youtube these days before I consider buying them. Net result is that I’m no longer buying any…
Anybody else having the same experience?

An epic struggle between the Inquisition forces and the Qunari followers of the Qun would be tremendous fun for me, especially if it led to a face to face confrontation between the Inquisitor and Sten from DAO.
