These surveys have always been sent out far in advance of release in the past (the DA3 and ME4 surveys leaked over a year before the games would release).

We are fairly close to something, but I don't think it will have anything to do with the contents of this survey.

DA3 and ME4 are big, standalone games, not the DLC or the expansion. Still, we'll just wait and see.

The funniest part of this entire thread? That lots of people seem to believe this, all from a single pic. No links or citations from anywhere, just a pic.

So, I have some oceanfront property for sale, in Arizona. Anyone want to buy? 43395.gif

Actually, we have another person in this thread confirming that this just might be real (to some extent at least) - people are discussing it on reddit as well, with a few people there claiming they got the same survey (and posting their pics as well), apparently from legit source:

http://www.reddit.co...all_dlc_survey/

I still remain rather skeptical about this whole thing, but can't help to be somewhat curious.

There are people who are generally considered to be reliable. The OP is one such person (with the caveat that he provided), as is the person in this very thread who also took part in the survey.

If you started the thread, certainly, I would have blown it off.

I'd like to see some confirmation from someone at BioWare that this survey is legit. Something tells me that will never happen though, and theres likely a group of execs at BioWare that are shooting emails all over trying to find out themselves. Of course it could also be a case of the left hand (BW) not know what the right hand (EA) is doing.

My hunch is still that this is for final DLC (either at the end of this year, or early next year) and that we'll be getting something different very soon now.

ME3 was released on March 6th. Citadel was released on March 5th the next year. I wouldn't be surprised if Inquisition's last DLC was released on November 17th (yes, it's a Tuesday), after its Nov. 18th release the previous year. Although I really hope we get content after that, considering ME:A (which I'm not likely to buy) will be released a whole year after that, and the next DA game won't be for a while

Bioware would have to know about it, since they'll need the answers, unless it is purely for marketing, in which case it could be the latter suggestion. For anyone who had the survey, what was EA's email address?

I've said repeatedly, I took the same survey.  I have no reason to lie about it, and as I've said in this thread, I have no idea whether the description given in the survey of the future DLC is real, but it definitely appeared to be gathering marketing information, such as whether 14.99 is an acceptable price point, and what parts of the description of Jaws of Hakkon and the description of the future DLC seen in the OP of this thread are appealing.  Really, if I were going to lie about DLC, I would make up something better.

I can't go back into the survey, but here's a screenshot of the email I was sent asking me to take it:

I mean, you can claim I made this up, but that's a lot of effort for no pay off.

EDIT: and really Sunnie, we haven't had much if any direct communication, but we have friends in common, do you really think I'm a troll or a liar from whatever you know of me?

I would normally agree, but I'm hoping that the deal with Microsoft means they're going for an extra 3-4 months (they would have basically added Jaws to the front of the schedule and pushed normal post-release content out), which would put the final DLC sometime into 2016. Theoretically, the MS money should allow them to do more than they normally would have considered—that's my hope, at least.

But it's possible we'll just get the one next month, and the final DLC will be the one from the survey in November/December (with another multiplayer expansion between).

Thanks for the screenshot. As everyone can see, Syllogi is subscribed to EA's email. Unless that happened after this survey was sent, it appears to be a point in favour of being legitimate. Although, it is odd that the rating of the game is wrong...

LOL, I have nothing to do with that.  I could also forward the email to anyone who REALLY needs to have it in their possession, but you'd have to PM me your email address.

I hope it was extended too, and that the money they got from Microsoft will help make more DLC. I would be disappointed if there was only one more MP DLC. Also, a bit angry, considering they said they would support DA:I MP "at least as much" as ME3 MP. Which had 5 proper expansive DLCs.

Have nothing to do with the incorrect rating? I didn't mean to imply you did  :? Just thought it was odd.

There is no "point in favor". She got the survey; she took the survey.

Unless you can find something in her entire history of up-front interaction here in the community that would lead you to question her word on this, this nonsense needs to stop. The survey is real.

True, but they may have been thinking that the MP would be more successful than it apparently has been. If the player base ends up being too small, I could easily see them reducing support earlier than may have first been planned.

My guess right now is that the next DLC will focus on the darkspawn, and there will be a following MP DLC to add a darkspawn faction (completely guessing; I don't play the multiplayer, so I'm not even sure what the factions are right now or if adding a new one would make sense).

Uh... I'm not one of the people you think you're talking about. I was just pointing out that it looked legitimate. The wording was just because I take everything from Bioware with a grain of salt, because of experience. Everything.

That's my only reason for being skeptic. Nothing there could actually happen. It could be completely changed. It's a test basically, not fact.

 I shouldn't write on forums when I'm sleepy... sorry for that rant.

But yeah, I will buy JoH eventually, it just seemed a bit expensive to me

I bought it. Cheaper is always better. Everyone loves deals. Factor in how big the base game is plus the price for that and then consider the price for a new zone... I can understand the angst over that. However I wasn't disappointed with overall experience.

I thought the storyline was enjoyable. It's a good sized zone with side quests typical of the base game, but the lore is fresh; Neat stuff about how this culture deals with mages and spirits, it's different than anything presented in storylines so far. The environment was appealing for me too.

The conversations are still mostly typical of the DAI camera mode, so if you hoped for different you're out of luck. That is however my main complaint for DAI in general, that the camera feels detached from the dialogue scenes. Anyway, hopefully that gets worked on for the future.

You mean the M rating? Isn't it what Inquisition got? -> http://www.esrb.org/...rtificate=33723

Yes, but they forgot the "Nudity" and "Sexual Content".

Of course not, and I never said as much (but I do apologize if that's what you thought I meant). I do concede that a survey is being distributed by EA, theres just too many people who are confirming it. I just can't believe the description of this DLC or the use of terms like "expansion", for which BioWare has maintained that they will never again make an "expansion" for their games (in favor of smaller DLC).

I really hate to speculate, but it does sound like BioWare may not have been aware of whats in this survey (they should now at any rate).

Personally, I don't really know what to think about this whole thing. It's definitely confusing.

As for expansion - did they say that there won't be the expansion LIKE awakening or the SIZE of Awakening? Because if they said "like Awakening" it might just imply that it won't be structured like Awakening (new PC and all), not that they won't make anything the size of it.

Might be just wishful thinking though. On the other hand - why wouldn't they call DLC even half the size of that proposed thing an "expansion"? I mean, wouldn't it legitimately be one?

Fair enough, and I must admit that I would have been a *lot* more tempted to screencap and spread around the survey myself if the information about the future DLC were more specific and interesting.  As it is, it reads like random DA:I plot generator output.

The qunari aspect makes this seem likely since I remember months ago digging around in the game files via the Mod Tools, somebody found a DLC file that had Qunari character models listed.

Although, I know they've been hinting at some Deep Roads / Darkspawn DLC. But as much I would want to see something like that, why would that sort of thing suit the Inquisitor? Like, why not leave the Inquisitor doing stuff that only the Inquisitor should deal with, like Solas, and leave Darkspawn/Deep Roads stuff to a Grey Warden Player Character, somebody more suited to that?

You'll never get that.

If you remember back in late Summer/Fall of 2012 when that one DA survey leaked that pretty much exactly outlined the plot summary of Inquisition and a bunch of the companions/advisors, people asked the developers about it and they played coy. Even when it was pretty damn apparent that the survey was legit and the whole thing forced BioWare/EA's hand into announcing the existence of the game way earlier than they wanted.

I've taken a bunch of these sorts of surveys for EA games in the past and this seems perfectly in line with those sorts of surveys.
