The only way I would pay fifteen bucks for a new DLC is if it had a conclusion with Solas.

Pretty much this.
They can keep DLC going for two years, smaller scale, twice a year, if they wanted to. Of course this is single player too. Multiplayer should also get some more love.

There's no way the big bad would be a Qunari invasion (oh no not the qun~! that's boring and predictable) I also refuse to believe that the final DLC would not have anything to do with Solas
When I read "confront the one who started it all" I thought they were referencing Solas. After all, he did start it all with the orb and everything. Perhaps there is some whacky plot where Solas/the Fade/Qunari are all intertwined
As ridiculous as it sounds, I am looking forward to the final plot rising to that level of complexity...BW owes us that much after delivering such a meager main campaign for DA:I.
DA:I did make a couple of ominous references regarding Qunari (1. having dragon ancestry 2. the fade nightmare telling a qunari IQ that the qunari race is a "mistake) so I am expecting very interesting revelations regarding their past and future. If that has something to do with the Fade/dread wolf, I'll take it!
I just don't see how a DLC, final or not, would be tackling both a Qunari invasion, and a Fade-related conflict at the same time, if they were not related somehow.

They could very well be related.
If Solas is involved, he's the Fade MASTER. Solas + Qunari can very well wrap into a strange but possibly workable story.
Heck, he doesn't even need to explicitly ally with them, just push them like a chess piece.
Fun thoughts at least.

I don't see reason why both of them should be DIRECTLY involved, yet exist in the same space at the same time. Such things happen.
I also don't see reason to connect Solas to Qunari - as desperate/dedicated he could be, he seems to dislike Qunari too much to even consider working with them, plus personally I think he'd be busier with more important things (from his perspective).
There's one thing I wondered about though... we all assume that he's preparing something catastrophic, and for good reasons, but maybe his motive for sudden disappearance and stealing Mythal's power is to.... save the Inquisitor? (even if they're not befriended or romanced).
Think about it - the orb is gone. The only thing that is left after it is the Anchor. And if this survey says anything that is true, we know that the Anchor suddenly erupts with magic. What if it grows unstable without the orb that bore it? Or what if the content of the orb wishes to reconnect with its previous vessel, but finds only Inquisitor? So maybe Solas disappeared so fast, because he knows that without finding a solution, the one who bears the possible key to deal with problems he faces is eventually going to die - or else?
It's a rather far-fetched assumption, I know - but considering that everything that goes beyond post-credit scene is an assumption, I'd say that it's not one we can rule out as entirely impossible.

I mentioned this in my last post, but one reason Solas (if he's now a big bad or has plans that are borderline big bad) would feel inclined to push the Qunari into a war with the Inquisition could be quite simple.
The Inquisition and the Herald, with their unique knowledge about ancient elves and the Herald having the power of the anchor, are probably the biggest direct threat to his plans.
The Qunari, being very powerful militarily are the only ones who can stand up to the Inquisition right now. They are also foreign and the mostly ignorant, in many cases willfully so due to the Qun, about ancient magic and history. So they are probably the least likely faction to uncover his plans, unless they find out from someone else through their spies.
Also I think Solas, being the ancient elven god of rebellion, would probably know a thing or two about bringing down an empire such as the Qunari if it came to that. If Solas' goal is to release the ancient elven gods, the world might be in for an Elven empire worse than Tevinter or the Qunari, based on the revelations in the Arbor Wilds. Magical forces the Qunari would be powerless to stop when you think Circle Mages basically turned the tide for Thedas against them in their first attempt at invasion.
Though Midnights right. The Qunari could be doing this without Solas' influence, seeing the Inquisition as a threat that needs to be weeded out before it gets too big. Solas for practical (the anchor) and possibly personal reasons (romance) may try to save the Inquisitor then try to trick the quizzy into using the anchor for his own devices. Assuming he still needs it.
The main problem with Solas is that the Inquisitor will need to discover his true nature before or when/if they meet him, because the epilogue has spoiled the god thing. Bioware can still have him secretly hiding his plans and influencing/tricking the player to do his bidding, but there's no point keeping up the "Solas" charade for long when we the player know the truth. The scrapped "Search for Solas" post-ending quest shows they were struggling with Solas before they dreamt up the credits spoiler. I suggest the reveal of Solas' nature and goals be done all at once while he's in the midst of finalizing his plans. Like two-thirds through a JRPG when the protagonists stumble on the true big bad activating the big bad device, fight him and end up failing allowing him to continue his plans (like DAII Legacy and this is probably why they're struggling with it. Repetition). Queue DA4. ![]()
Also, I wonder if the Anchor glowing irradically again has anything to do with Skyhold itself? It was an ancient elven ritual site/temple, which Morrigan states the magic from it has seeped into the stones of the castle. Since Skyhold was never attacked in the main game, could the site have some ancient defense mechanisms tied to Anchors? Which just came online because Skyhold "feels" battle?

Though I do not dispute the survey's veracity, I too have to express certain doubts as to the connection between Solas and the Qun. So far, the only relation we have seen in the game between the two is abhorrence on Solas' part aaaand - yeah. That's pretty much it. To be honest, this comes as quite a surprise. I mean, the portions alluding to problems with the mark sound fantastic, I have always maintained that the ramifications of a glowing hand that enables PHYSICAL ACCESS TO THE FADE have not been explored properly in the game - I mean, it allows for PHYSICAL ACCESS INTO THE FADE. Every mage in Thedas and their mother and every faction leader worth their salt should have had a major freakout over this. But I suppose they were too busy having major freakouts over Corypheus and being all too happy about the fact that someone SOMEHOW is capable of closing the rifts that start popping up.
Furthermore, and in light of the revelations introduced in the one DLC that was already released, the "Jaws of Hakkon", the anchor mark and the Inquisitor really need some space of their own. In all honesty, I was rather disappointed when the "Mark of the Rift" was the only unique Inquisitor power introduced in the base game. That should have been a whole, fully realized unique skill tree in my opinion. But when Jaws of Hakkon came with a new Inquisitor ability... and those story beats...I wonder. What about the previous Inquisitors? Did they have similar powers too? Correct me if I am wrong, but Ameridan seems to be surrounded by green glowy things, and his memories are green too (and you capture them using the mark, similar to opening/closing rifts) - does this mean he had similar abilities? What is an Inquisitor, anyways? What does it truly mean to be one? Were the previous ones just people in the right place at the right time, considering the events they were caught in, or was there something else that set them apart, something else that was unique to them, something very decidedly...Inquisitory? Like glowing green particle effects?
Also, as was pointed out above, Morringan's remark on Skyhold, its nature and history also made me wonder. And then there is the Solas thing. So all together, I was expecting something that would be very much focused on spirits, elven lore and history and exploration on the nature and potential of the anchor, as well as the Inquisitor - both the title and the skillset. And I honestly cannot see how the Qunari would feature into all of this, let alone an invasion. Although I can see the "invasion" part as something more akin to the ME2 "Arrival" DLC - you are pitted against the very first wave of what would become an all-out conflict.
I am equal parts excited, apprehensive and confused about all this. Just please don't make me sacrifice the Inquisitor. The wording of the survey, as well as having seen Ameridan's fate, makes me worried for the Inquisitor's safety. It could be just me, but I don't like seeing main characters die at the end of the story, even if it is for noble reasons. They worked so hard, they have earned that trip to Hawaii. Main characters dying is sad. Pina Coladas are not. Unless your bartender is useless.
And I still think the questions surrounding the anchor, the future of the Inquisition and the issues raised during DA:I are so big and far-reaching that in order to do them justice, they should be addressed over the course of a full game. But this is neither the time nor the place to talk about that.

I think it's wise to presume that this will be either the second or the third DLC and either way this is the end. The Deep Roads hint from the devs a couple of months back is valuable intel but by no means a confirmation; it shows that they are/were more than likely at work on such content, of course, but sales on Jaws of Hakkon might not have been satisfactory and work could have folded into this, or the Deep Roads could somehow factor into this.
I don't want to be a downer. I'd much prefer we get this thing and the Deep Roads gig. I don't think it's a good idea to get one's hopes up for more than that, since it's just not really how things are run with BioWare's offerings since DAO, and also, it's already late June. I think what we'll be seeing is an announcement of the next and possibly last DLC expansion sometime in the next few weeks, and if it's Deep Roads, we can hang on to this and look forward to it probably happening (try not to assume it absolutely will happen, as plans change all the time). If it's this, on the other hand, then given the wording in the survey and figuring that the content involved here sounds comparable to ME3's Citadel in overall scale, figure on it being the last of Inquisition.
Also, protip: never doubt shinobi. Dude's not infallible (no one is) but I laugh a bit every time I see so many folks on BSN thinking he's making stuff up. That's not his shtick; he tends to know things and there are reasons for that. ![]()

I'm with Jeff on this one I had assumed the rumored Deep Roads Dlc was next then they would finish off DAI's Dlc with the Wolf Hunt "Solas Dlc" but if this has even a grain of truth to it I'm torn because a Qunari Invasion is a Huge Story Arc one thats too big to be Dlc it needs its own game and in regards to Solas I have been saying since I first beat DAI he's going to be the person that kills the Inquisition by cutting off its head "Kills Inquisitor Romanced or not".I think it's wise to presume that this will be either the second or the third DLC and either way this is the end. I was tempted to remark on the rationale of doubting shinobi but decided not to
This *is* the internet, after all. I may not have been an active participant on these forums long, but I have been a long-time lurker (gods that sounds creepy) both here and on NeoGAF. I can number the instances shinobi was inaccurate, let alone outright wrong, on the fingers of...how many hands have I got this morning? Two. Two hands, then. But yeah, if this guy does share intel, it is usually legit.
l also dearly wish that there will be more than one DLC for DAI - the game has a ton of potential and one could hardly imagine a more perfect chance to refine some of its, shall we say, not exactly accomplished aspects than DLC. I have said it before and I will continue repeating it until I turn blue in the face (or my hands fall off due to excess typing) - "Jaws of Hakkon" were an enormous step in the right direction. Two or three more pieces of DLC following the same direction could elevate DAI from being a fun RPG outing with a few notable shortcomings to something that is truly great, albeit not flawless, but who cares about those itty bitty issues when there is ALL THIS AWESOME TO REVEL IN. I over-exaggerate, I know, but if teh internetz have taught me anything it's that hyperbole is the only surefire way to get your point across.
I hope they are not ending support for DAI just yet and that more than one (story-based) DLC is yet to come. I don't know about you, fellow forumites, but I am not ready to be done with this game just yet.

*Note: From a friend. I don't participate in surveys.
The part where they say it's a last adventure.... sure there is more to do with the world they created then a short side story dlc, and some fancy thrones and armors.
The question if i would buy it? not on their blue eyes anymore. I would wait until the first reactions come in, and then decide if it's worth my money. That, and also if it would be the 3th and last dlc, then probably not. Not going to invest in a game with so much potential which is abandoned after a few tiny bits of dlc content for sp.

I agree that its a shame if this would really be the LAST DLC. And there aren't any in between now and this surveyed one.
But I wouldn't hold back my money. If it contained post-game Solas content, i'd *have* to buy it, I'll be honest. There would be no other option for me.

I'm crossing my fingers this is not the only DLC after Hakkon (like I get it might be the last, but please let there be one in between the two). It would just seem so incompetent of our Inquisitor and Inquisition to not at least investigate the remaining magisters after all the hell Corypheus unleashed.

I'd be a little bummed if this were to be the final single player DLC. I was kind of hopeful that they'd have a couple smaller DLCs and then a big expansion like they did with DAO. But whatever, you can't always have your cake and eat it.
Would I buy it for $15? If it gives closure to the whole Solas thing, sure. I would definately buy it. If it's like JoH (which just seems like Crestwood 2.0 to be honest), I'd skip it.
