Not so long ago I sold my ps3 and bought ps4 and just didn't have time to enjoy the Mass Effect 3. Hell, is unfair! I hope Bioware will understand it and will make remastered trilogy soon.

It seems rather early to be talking about remastering ME1-3 when it is backwards compatible with majority of platforms aka Xbone and PC. It is also a series that JUST finished and the first game isn't even 10 years old. Last December and January I completed yet another complete run through of the three games. It is still works great and was enjoyable so why do we need a remaster? Also my worry is that many past remasters have indeed been less then stellar, Baldur's gate and Homeworld come to mind. So a remaster doesn't always equal a 'better' experience.

It's not BioWares decision it's EA's (they are the ones holding the purse strings - they are the ones who tell BioWare what to work on next), and to be honest it makes sense at the moment from a business perspective.

Correction: ME1 is backwards compatible on XB1.  Backwards compatibility requires publisher approval, and ME1 for XB1 was published by Microsoft, so they gave that approval themselves.  We do not have word on whether EA is approving 2 and 3 for backwards compatibility.

It would be nice to get an official statement about this from EA and/or BioWare.

Further: Microsoft had, the last time I looked, stated that they didn't know how they were going to get multi-disc games working yet.  To my knowledge, they never did get any multi-disc retail games working as digital downloads on the 360.  (I'm talking about games with "put disc 2 in now", like ME2/3, not games that use a second disc to install content to the hard drive, like GTA5.)

So: ME2 and 3 may end up never playing on anything current except the PC.

I loved the BG and BG2 enhanced editions :)

Hope something similar happens with the ME trilogy, only with additional graphics updates (ME1 in particular) and DLC.

Gogo ME trilogy on my PS4!

Nah im fine with that, ME2 and 3 botj look good on last gen. 1 is a little outdated but unless they did a full remake by scrapping it abd building it from the ground up an upgrade for the minor visual upgrade would be pointless.
Id much prefer them to concentrate on Andromeda and whenever they decide to return to the milky way ( which they will as it'll be more popular) then do a hd remake as it'll actually look better.
I also only like remakes if content is added, i'm not saying add new endings etc obviously but w couple of extra levels to make it worth the money ill actually be puttinf in for a game i already own that looks a bit better

Bioware has a lot of time before ME Andromeda release! Why they don't want introduce ME trilogy to players, which bought next gen consoles and never been played in Mass Effect. Its easy money, Bioware!

You mean, like on Xbox? 720p is HD.

Nope I mean in 1080p and possibly 60fps for PS4.

I think that game aged a lot in comparison of ME2-3. I wouldn't mind a remaster of ME1. It's my favorite ME. I know though that chances are very slim.

A lot of time that they might need to, oh, develop ME Andromeda?

This makes me happy.  I am so tired of superfluous, cash grab remasters.  Especially superfluous, cash grab remasters of games that ended terribly and don't deserve a remaster anyway.

Remasters are so stupid regardless.  Remakes are way more important and contain more bang for your buck.  Yay, I can now see Kratos decapitate Zeus in slightly higher resolution than I did 6 years ago!  This was totally worth another 60 dollars!   /sarcasm

For many people (like me) it is worth it!

Not only would I pay for the improved graphics, but also for the fact it would be playable on my PS4 (those 2 factors alone are enough for me to pay full price, anything extra they add is just a bonus).

Hope they do a remaster!

The majority of people would have certain expectations for a remaster, and I doubt those issues would be fixed.

The Garrus low texture fix in ME1 requires a massive code rewrite (there's some file editing you can do but it will decrease game stability), Pinnacle Station is basically corrupted completely so would need rebuilding and coding from the ground up. I'm also not sure Bioware still have the uncompressed textures for Mass Effect 2, so basically it would require creating all the textures again to get it to an acceptable standard to run at 1080p and above (a lot of people would expect 4K support).

It would take too much time and money for very little return. Remasters are a bit of a niche and need to impress the hardcore fans who will be the bulk of the sales or the whole thing will just be panned (see Silent Hill 2 Remaster). There aren't many casual Xbone or PS4 players who will want to pick up a game nearly a decade old.

I'd rather they focus their energy into Andromeda and let's hope it's not a train wreck like Mass Effect 3.

But didn't they confirm they are doing a ME remastered trilogy after all for the next gen?

Or was that just some wishes I've read on other news (forums)

Must be the latter :) we've heard no word on anything like that, let alone an official confirmation from Bioware.

Look, Aaryn asked what we'd like to see in a remaster, so Bioware is considering it, they just need EA's approval.

Also, EA stated they will fully support XBOX One's backwards compatibility, so Xbox owners are Mass Effect guaranteed regardless.

A remaster is not dead.

Though I sure as hell hope that the PS4 get the remaster/remake as well

Regardless of backwards compatibility, I would buy a Mass Effect Trilogy remaster for my PS4 or XBoxOne. I think the important thing is:

If you want an ME remaster, we need to organize and let Bioware know. The only way that it will get done is if the fans show enough passion and show Bioware/EA that they will, in fact, make money off it.

It took years for fans of Arrested Development, Veronica Mars, Mr Show, and Twin Peaks (latter two are still in the works) to get new content added to their favorite shows. They all have a passionate fanbase in common. The only way an executive is going to give this remaster the green light is if the money works out and they think they can make a profit.

There was a petition on one of those petition sites (change.org I think). It would be better if we could call BioWare customer service and let them know we want it.

And if you are one of the people who hates the remastering trend in the video game industry, you don't have to participate, purchase the game, or spend your time playing it. But for the rest of us who do, please be quiet. This doesn't affect you.
