So after seeing this image, which also appeared hidden in the trailer when the character slides the planet images:

And this other image published months ago:

Is it possible that this is the ark where the milky way species are?

Maybe it plays as the new "Citadel" of ME Andromeda? the big hub world of the game? If it were then it could also be at different places of the galaxy map as we advance through the story?

I suppose it's possible. Doesn't look like it was designed by humans though. Doesn't seem reminiscent of any of the existing species' architectural style, actually.

Yes. No. Maybe.

Looks like a similar design to those pillars in the trailer, which I'm assuming were built by the new "Remnant" species.

I dunno. It kinda reminds me of the krogan architecture we see if you choose synthesis.

Maybe it's a ship from a previous cycle, rediscovered, repaired and put to use once someone realised it can travel between galaxies?

Assuming that patch is legitimate, looks like the Alliance found a Prothean ark ship.

I guess it is a bit like that. Chances of the Krogan being the species to design what must be the most advanced ship (if it's capable of traversing galaxies) in known space seems... unlikely, to say the least.

It's the special Relay that allows people to travel to Andromeda.

This seems more plausible, they had the technology to keep people in stasis for at least 50k solar years.

Yep, probably similar to a Stargate.

Could absolutely be Prothean tech repurposed. They had the cryostasis and built the relays as well. Possibly the Ark itself could have a relay in it to let a small ship jump forward and scout potential habitable planets.

I'd appreciate the irony if it was krogan scientists that discovered the secret to intergalactic travel.

While I agree with you, I always found the notion that krogan don't do science to be kind of weird.  They had enough science to figure out how to make nuclear bombs, which isn't exactly caveman tech.  Heck, the human race only created nuclear weapons within living memory and we've been doing science for centuries.

I don't know

Can you repeat the question?

Doesn't look like a ship. A station probably.

The Reapers built the relays. The Protheans only managed to create one small replica, with a fixed destination. The Illos/Citadel connection.

I thought the same, looks like it could maybe be Remnant technology? The architecture doesn't look like anything we've seen before imo.

Krogan technology is not to be underestimated. While not subtle nor sophisticated, Krogans are brutally efficient at designing things to kill with. See Graal Spike Thrower.

Unlikely. If that is the relay that allows ships to travel to Andromeda then the ark couldn't fit in. Unless the ark is the other ship on the left that looks small in comparison and it's actually really big.

But the form of the big thing there kinda resembles the icon with the word "arkcon" so...

I'm sure they're capable given enough time and resources. In ME3 you learn that the ancient Krogans were actually very advanced. We know they're capable of great technology, but in their current incarnation is where it seems unlikely. With the population decimated and the gender ratio hopelessly skewed, they intellectually devolved somewhat.

But they're not as advanced as most of the other council species - humans, asaris, salarians are much more advanced than Krogan (as far as the current lore is concerned). I think even the Batarians are more advanced (well, were, they're pretty much extinct as of the end of ME3).

If we go with the wormhole theory:

I'm guessing its a relic from the Remnants of Andromeda, somehow left in the Milky Way and discovered by explorers.  Perhaps it produces the wormhole that takes us there and self destructs in the process.

Protheans didn't build the relays, the Reapers did.

I think the ship is an early concept of the antagonist's ship.
