Okay.
If people are going to ask rhetorical questions like: (paraphrase) Did DA:I sell horribly...why can I find this link in two seconds?
http://www.inquisitr...ng-mass-effect/
How many people use this forum? These are just fans. Regular people don't hangout in BioWare forums, just people who like BioWare and trolls.
Did average joe/jane reach into his/her wallet and buy DA:I?
It won game of the year.
I'm just going to play the percentages and say, yes.
People who spend time trying to rip it apart just give it free advertisement, because it won game of the year.
It's not Witcher 3. It's okay, we'll buy that one too. It's not a popularity contest. We want good RPGs someone makes one, fans of RPGs will buy them.
Did people go out and buy DA:I, Magic 8 ball says, "Signs point to yes." I didn't read any headlines that said, NOBODY bought "Game of the Year" EA shocked and stocks plummeted.
Use logic.
Inquisition made money, has fans, or no1 would be on this forum

Perhaps people care about the franchise, and that's why lurk the forum?
Also, sorry about it but most people do not fall for shills and wait for other players opinions. This means that the sales after launch may be not as spectacular as the launch ones, and it probably is so.
The reason you felt the need to open this thread, it's because you fear I'm right and bioware have doubts about the success of DAI. There is going to be DA4, the franchise has too much potential. They have doubts about DA:I that's it. Now calm your ******.

I've loved the Dragon Age universe since I bought it and played it when DAO was released. I haven't read all the books and comics or played MPO, although when I played DAI, I bought and read Asunder because I needed to make some connections (despite reading the Codex). I'm in the middle of TW3 atm and loving it immensely (jumped in at 3 because ps4) different game, different setup entirely and I can see where the difference lies because DAI has to dilute itself for obvious reasons.

Personally, I enjoy the DA lore. It is one of the reasons I play the game. I have no interest in the Witcher's series because I'm not interested in the story. Everyone buys a product for their own reason. The problem with some people is that they think everyone needs to think like they do.
It just doesn't work out that way.
It won game of the year.
Good for them. They earned it.

Passive-aggressive...check.
Heavy Sigh.
Seriously, do you peeps just go about liking on each others comments on hating: x,y,z?
Tiresome.
I'm sorry. WT3 must be amazing to cause everyone to lose manners and bash on people...all over this forum.
I should go on a WT3 forum and pfffft ...who am I kidding?...IDC...LOL.

Why because you define logic?
Logic means several things. It has meaning in the world of science. He seems to be using it in the mathematical sense.
Game of the year, professional critics gave it a thumbs up, EA stocks went up are all data points to a correlation that EA made their mark. It may not be the mark you wanted, but they made their projections, and that is what they needed to do.
Why does anyone think a company has to make a custom product for each individual?
If you don't like it, don't buy it. There are plenty of products out there. None of them please everyone.

Now that I just got done reading all the reviews for Witcher 3, gotta say...sounds great, but I'll hold off a bit till a read a bit more on the misogyny issue. They did give the game an 8 out of 10, but there's a reason I don't own some of the more misogynistic games.
And I hate to say it, but Eastern European countries (in my travels) have proven to be a bit misogynistic by my standards and heteronormative would be an understatement in Romania and Hungry...but I've never specifically spent time in Poland.
It'll just slide down my to buy list for a few months. Hope it's not too true; they make a bangin' world with great action, but BioWare owns in character development in dialogue IMHO tho only played W 1 and 2. I'm screwed up anyway; I think sarcastic Hawke's lines were awesome;)
Maybe I'll stay in my little elf-hating Thedas for a bit. I prefer analogies to racism, rather than misogyny in my face.
Edit: There is a huge difference between my to buy list and my to butt list...one is on Mondays there other is on Tuesdays!

I heard that as well. Not interested in anything like that.
IGN critical review said this:
"The main story is ultimately the least fulfilling part of The Witcher 3. You might call it another case of The Elder Scrolls Syndrome. Our tale begins as a multi-continent search for Geralt’s long-lost lover Yennifer, and Ciri, his surrogate daughter. My single biggest issue though, is that it never becomes much more: the overly long main story is essentially just Geralt running errands for people in exchange for information on Ciri’s whereabouts."
I know I don't want to play this because I don't care about the story.

lol Misgony..
It doesn't take place in Disney Medieval times like DA that much is true
Is there violence against women? sure but there are also many strong female characters
If you want equality for everyone (be it gender one, accepting of sexualities etc.) don't bother with TW

Good to know cross that one off the list. These are all pure fantasy games and many really don't care for misogyny. There is no Geralt with special powers or wizards, elves, etc. With that in mind "misogyny" doesn't make it more real.

I bought it, I liked it. Looking at what little financial info that has been provided, tis doing well. Witcher didn't put Bioware out of business, nor will Arkham Knight, or even Final Fantasy VII Remake. You want to know a funny thing? The opening weekend of a movie is not really a good indicator of a movies quality, nor its longevity. Some things take time to percolate. Some games get GREAT reviews, are an incredible experience, and even sell pretty well...then the company goes out of business. From everything we've seen, DAI did great.
I see no reason to fight about it. Aren't we all fans here? Gamers? People who enjoy our hobby? Heck, don't we just want to have fun and relax? That's what I want to do. Isn't that what we all want? To game and have fun?

DA:I don't have good sales because it's good game. It have good sales because, it's dragon age. If you buy game you don't know what you buying it' doesn't mater if you liked it you already buy it. it only affects if you buy next game. And even this not much we will see new marketing hype and jump into hype train and be like
this is last chance. Everyone buy ME: Andromeda don't mater ME3 ending bad.
