No, ME3MP did in no way take anything away from the amazing ME experience, all it ever did was just to expand upon the ME universe we all know and love.

For the longest time I was a pure SP player, loving the campaign and Shepards story until I one day tried MP and was addicted to it immediately. Now the SP campaign have brought such memorable moments like the Citadelle party that it will always have a special place in my heart even though MP is what I loved the most.

The main thing I wish for with ME:A is that Biovar will be able to strike the same balance again and give everyone what they love, despite a few of my ironic troll posts in the past I do really love both the incredible SP campaign and the amazing MP mode both.

It doesnt, multiplayer has separate assets and different teams working on it. Just the bsn being ignorant again.

MP takes away from single player when thy lock single player content behind MP.  Be it dialogue, a mission, or an arbitrary "Preparedness" level.

Or heck, even decorations for your SP base.

It can also mess with the enjoyment when the combat mechanics are clearly built around  a MP team and you end up using MMO tactics on a SP boss.

Then there's the question of "how complete was the SP budget before they started talking about MP?"  Since there is likely an upper limit to how much the suits are willing to invest in a game, whether or not it has MP in it.

And you are obviously very talented, proper CEO material.

The only thing I disliked about the Multiplayer, and this is the same for a lot of people, that it felt that we HAD to play it to get the best ending in single player.. For me, I wasn't interested in the multiplayer that much and it felt like I was just grinding to get the Galactic Readiness thing to 100%. But no, it doesn't really take away from the Single Player, it just was an annoying game mechanic

Yeah that was really the main issue for me as well. I didn't want to play multiplayer. I tried it once and ended upbeing shot to hell. Mostly because I couldn't handle it. Fortunately though with the DLC's and everything you don't need to any more to get the top endings  but I'd rather Biowaer not do that again and keep SP and MP as separate entities like they've done with DAI. I don't mind MP elements asan option for those that want it being in the game but for those that only play the ME and DA series for the single player elements it should be kept separate I think.

If they just did away with SP and put 100% of everything into MP it would be much better and have a lot more content.  This is why SP needs to be removed.
