Game 1.
Player and Co. arrives in Andromeda - sets up colonies chose where start mining and basically start up a tiny civilisation and of cause fight of the big bad enemy in that game.
I should note that you don't place structures and such in places the only thing that matters what planet/moon/asteroid you chose to build/settle on.
Also, the player leads by example, As the leader of these small settlements the rest of the populous will look to the player for guidance.
Instead of a renegade/paragon system the player have to live with that his/her example will be followed.
Game 2 takes place 2-300 years after Game 1
You import a save from game 1 and has the choice of playing the granddaughter/grandson of the player character in game 1(or make story selections in the keep).
There will be settlements and mines on the same planets/moons/asteroids as you choose in Game 1 except they everything will have grown, new technologies will have developed - the settlements from Game 1 will have grown to cities and other cities will have sprung up - this will be the fist game where people will actually call Andromeda home.
And laws will have formed from the choices the player made in game 1 - of cause there will be a new baddy you will have to fight because computer game and all that.
Game 3 takes place another 2-300 years later.
You are now part of a thriving civilisation, Those places where you choose to settle in Game 1 is now very big cities and the Andromedians are the first human extra-galaxian civilisation with fleets of starships and all that.
Of cause, this is also where you meet and fight and even greater baddy than in the other games.
Instead of importing a character and the choices he/she made you import world states.. I find the idea exciting.
