I know that Bioware stated that he is not PC. But... i don't believe this.

In trailer he is N7 member, he have party members and he have Mako. With that trailer points that he is PC.

So, either Bioware deliberately spoiled us with a very important part of the story or... it's just a cheap way to add an unexisting intrigue. For the sake of SPECULATIONS of course!

So because he is an N7, has a Mako and has 2 squad members he is obviously the main character. I'm sorry, but I'm not really seeing a reason how he's our guy despite Word of God saying he isn't...

I find it hard to believe that was the main character because it's apparently taking place in the Andromeda galaxy and I don't imagine they have an Earth 2.0 with the exact same military with N7s, mako, etc. 

 

Of course we don't really know much about anything, so maybe there is travel between the galaxies and somehow there was that kind of crossover? I don't really believe that, but who knows.

 

I'm kind of leaning towards them drawing parallels between the old ME3 trailer and this one. A lot of the shots/imagery were the same, so this may be their way of introducing something new while showing the ways it relates to, and contains elements of, the games we loved.

Out of interest, I keep hearing that the featured human isn't the PC but where did they say that, please? Anyone got a link?

It's in Bioware's blog about Mass Effect: Andromeda but the part relevant to this thread is "You will play a human, male or female, though that’s actually not the character you saw in the trailer (more on that later)."

my guess is that the N7 guy is jsut a place holder and that this will be the first Mass effect game where we can choose our race from any of the citadel races.

The leaked survey mentioned a human female and a krogan male as companions, yes?

And the N7 character, if I wasn't seeing things, has a krogan male and a human female fighting at his side during the trailer. But he's not the protagonist.

In one of the earlier tidbits they threw us, they mentioned that, while skilled, the main protagonist is not as renowned or skilled as Shepard was at the beginning of Mass Effect 1. Shepard was N7, the elite of the elite when it comes to the Alliance.

My guess is that the N7 character is just a stock character to represent the kind of people leading the charge in Andromeda, with actual companions (or not) added in just to give them some screen time, or he's the guy that's famous in the colonies beforehand, and serves as either a mentor, a respectable antagonist, or he dies and his companions take up arms with the PC.
