First I just wanted to get all my characters to 20... Then I found a rare or two and started the gear grind. Then I started to find powerful friends that pulled me up from newbietown. Then I wanted to "platinum" all those rediculous challenges. Then I realized my prestige could eventually competive for the leaderboards. Then I met leaderboard folks who were fun to play with with, and here we are.

I played the SP first, but didn't find the story as compelling as Origins. Some of the characters like Bull and Sera made it fun, but I actually enjoyed the battle system a lot more. Having no straight healer class created a fresh approach. I liked the skill trees but always felt like I would never explore all of them enough. You don't even get your specialization until like level 15. I didn't think my party ever used their skills in the most useful or efficient way, and I'm not into micromanaging every battle. So, the whole time I was wishing I had some sentient beings on their controls. When I randomly wandered into multiplayer one day and saw what they did with it, I knew I would be hooked.

I play DAMP because it gives me a whole new area of the forum to play in

I lost a bet with the devil and he traded my soul to bioware. If I don't rip out 30 hearts with Dragon Rage on my Reaver at least every other day I'm afraid i'll be sodomized by a druffalo. So the situation is out of my hands

Perhaps it will buy you dinner afterwards? If not, sharpen your killing implement of the dragon and light a fire.

In me3 I loved the fast gameplay and myriad of weapons and gear/mod choices. While the skills were mostly awesome, the promotion system left me disappointed as there was no tangible reward for promoting. In damp the promotions mean something, so I play for the promotion system mainly and then for the camaraderie as having crazy conversations makes the grind fun.

Note: I think a better crafting system for multiplayer both armor and weapons would greatly help keep players and add more individuality to the game; and keep me playing once promoting becomes less important due to diminishing returns and max stats.

I like the co-op dungeon grinding experience that DAIMP provides. (I'm an old MMO player, started with EverQuest back in the day)

Beats the crap out of COD Advanced Warfare. Why do they call it Team Death Match? Tired of the running around every person for themselves type of MP games. DAMP seems more people friendly to me.

I love ME3MP in all aspects, but for true camaraderie DAMP is certainly better, since the game promotes it better, too.

The people.

Same with ME3, the peeps made the game worth continuing, and more fun.

I am very fortunate to have good, interesting people to play with.

To me, that interaction makes MP worlds better than SP.

I play it because my friends play it.

It's fun but I could walk away if they stopped.  It's rare that I pug without at least one of them along.
