I'm sorry if this already has been discussed, but I can't seem to get the search function to work right now?

Anyways this is what I encountered:

I did Redcliffe before visiting the Circle so I was faced with 3 options; kill the demon (and the boy), let Jowan use blood magic to send a mage into the fade (killing Isolde but saving the boy), or go ask the Cricle for aid.

I chose the 3rd option and finished the Circle quest.

I asked them to help me in Redcliffe and then I sent Morrigan into the Fade and killed the demon, ie saved both the boy and Isolde. Despite that I was treated with a short cinematic of a burial by boat (sending out a boat in Lake Calenhad with Isolde) and in my Codex for the boy it says that his mother died.

However, in-game, Isolde is very much alive and after finishing the urn quest, Arl Eamon thanked me for saving his whole family adn Isolde was in that scene as well. Also Alistair thanked me for saving the Arl and his family.

So.... What I wonder is if this can potentially change anything in the game? I havent finished it yet (almost done with my last recruitement in Orzamar, I've had the game since release but with 2 kids I havent had enough time to play more ) but I would hate for something weird to happen in the epilogue because of the game might "think" that I chose to sacrifice Isolde.

So, maybe someone could tell me, without telling me any specifics on the epilogue ofc, if there is anything tieing back to that choice later in the game.

It's a known glitch, most people who save Isolde and Connor get the codex entry for her having 'given her life'. Many who sacrifice her get the codex entry saying they saved everyone. Go figure. And no, it won't affect your game or cause you problems further down the track.



Just so you know, there are other bugged codex entries too. ;-)

Also, I'm pretty sure you get the "burial by boat" cutscene no matter how you resolve this quest. I think it's the townspeople who were killed in the attacks being cremated.
