For me Turians (my favorite race), Krogans, and Salarians are mandatory races to be in the game.  I would be unhappy without turians in Mass Effect. We already know Krogan and Humans are in Andromeda and Asari are one of the most iconic aliens in the game, the alien that people identify with Mass Effect. No way they're going to leave them out. To some extent Turians and salarians are iconic races as well, though not at a parity with Asari (who had a lot of screen time in fact we know more about them than the other council ETs).

I also find the hanar and elcor very amusing and the batarians interesting, though their inclusion is unlikely. Really the only race in ME I didn't like (please resist the urge to pelt me with spoiled or acutely pointed objects) were the asari.

For new races I hope we have a catlike race. We have avian raptors, salamander/frog people, jellyfish, elephantlike creatures, dextro humans, whatever heck the yahg is an analogue to, spider/crustacean bug things, more birds (raloi), Fish/frog people, blue space women, samurai bug people, cockroach people, and hideously deformed four-eyed humans. So why not catlike people?

Think of the variety of colors and patterns! Cats are beautiful animals. Also a plant race would be amazeballs as well.

I would be very surprised if they didn't include every race somehow. Aside from Protheans.

Great, now I'm imagining the Na'Vi. The elves have finally invaded Mass Effect.

Anyway, I'd like to see a new non-humanoid species make the scene. As for the original lot, the original Council races are probably a given, and perhaps a couple of the "joke" races like the volus, elcor and perhaps hanar. I have a feeling that the vorcha won't be around, and I can't say that I'd miss them since we probably won't be killing any anyway. I'm not sure what to make of the batarians. The original trilogy really screwed them around by making them the hardcore human-hating lot without really developing them much further than that, only to nearly wipe out their entire civilization off-screen. Can't say I'm attached to the drell. If we get a codex entry that says that the hanar's efforts to save them was futile and they went kaput, I'd be pretty OK with that.

I think the council races are a given.  None of them can be wiped out and lorewise it makes sense for them to cooperate between ME3 and ME:A getting to Andromeda.  One race I really hope makes the cut are the Quarians.  I would say they have the second worst odds of making it to ME:A of all the major in-game species behind only the Geth, who beat them out because there's more than one way to kill them off.  That would be unfortunate because it seems one of the themes of ME:A is being far removed from home and trying to find new worlds to settle which would mesh with the story arch of the Quarians in ME1-3 quite well.

All of them, pretty much. Krogans, drell, geth, quarians, and bataarians are at the top of my list. But I'd like to see most all of them, including maybe some of the ones we didn't see in the original trilogy.

I don't necessarily need to see hanar or elcor. But aside from that.

Leviathans. :(

On the more realistic side, I want "joke" races like Hanar,Volus & Elcor finally explored more. They have great potential

No definitely Not the Na'Vi. Any catlike race likeness to the Na'Vi should be remote, Andromeda remote.  Are you by any chance a cat hater? Also I never said the cat race had to be humanoid.

Qunari? I'm sorry are you ribbing me? Because online there is no sarcasm detector nor am I good at detecting it in person. I can understand disagreeing with me, though, that is your right.

Yeah I doubt we'll be seeing the batarians, or the drell either.

I want new races, considering it's a new galaxy. It'd also be cool to see sapient races with different levels of technology. I'd hope for at least one that's on a similar level to humans now in the real world, with a good imagination about what's out there but no real experience.

It would be very easy to say have everything. But if they are going to introduce new species some will have to be cut. I want the Humans, Asari, Turians, Salarians, Krogan, Batarians as the main species and the Volus and Vorcha as comic relief.

Well my favorites are asari, quarian, drell, elcor, and salarian ^^ Least favorites are krogan and turian.

What I think we will have: krogan, asari, turian, human... maybe salarian.

They're gonna go with what's popular.

And quarian, they showed they don't give a rat's arse about what they look like unmasked, so I doubt we'll see one. An a masked quarian hundreds of years later would make no sense...

Races I want to see in Andromeda wish list (knowing fair well that almost none of these will be included but hey I can dream)

  1. Stargate-esgue races like Asgard, Gou'ald/Tok'ra would be awesome
  2. Planet of the Apes
  3. Mako is actually a transformer lol like bumble bee is mako xD
  4. a race of shapeshifters
  5. Evil Cylons from Battlestar Galactica or the Borg like race from Star Trek would be awesome.
  6. ewoks
  7. Elemental people like Judi Dench in Chronicles of Riddick.
  8. Non-humanoid/non carbon based lifeform like Klencory from Mass Effect 1, "Beings of Light"
  9. Mangalores from 5th element would be a cool off-shoot from the Krogans.
  10. Aliens from Independence Day...really a race that just moves to planet to planet committing genocide and stealing resources continuously.  Think of it like if the Quarians were evil in their Flotilla and decided to commit themselves entirely on war/genocide.

I know this is one crazy list of races I would like to see some variation of in maybe not the next game itself but in Andromeda Galaxy at some point in the trilogy (if it is a planned trilogy).

Desperately want more Drell and Salarians.

Desperately do not want Asari, Krogan, or Quarians. And if they must come along, I hope they mostly take a back seat role for awhile. They've gotten so much attention in the original trilogy and I'm bored at this point.

And I absolutely don't want the joke races (Hanar, Elcor, Volus, Vorcha) to be taken more seriously, because I couldn't handle listening to their gimmicky vocal patterns for hours.

A new race with empathic or telepathic abilities, and two genders. Not just one, two.

Not three either. Exactly two.

Salarians will be there

Something like the thorian but friendlier, more insectoids and bird like (the raloi and kirik) and more species based in others elements like the Volus or the ones in Caleston.

Asari, Turians, and Krogan and I'm all set. I wouldn't mind having the quarians along for the ride, but I was mostly fond of one particular quarian in the original series, so its not exactly a deal breaker for me; besides I foresee huge problems trying to integrate quarian race into far future timeline in a galaxy far, far away, so I really doubt they'll be going on to Andromeda.

Keelah se'lai. No. Don't tell me they're not coming. Their technological genius probably made the trip to Andromeda possible in the first place.
