Let's sound off our two biggest concerns to Bioware about Andromeda.

You need to stay in the loop. Salarians. Turians. Basically the major races. Salarians were confirmed on Twitter. My concern lies with the alien races. I hear the ark is only bringing along Krogan and Asari. BIG MISTAKE Bioware if this is true.

Seriously the game had way too much filler and fetch quests. And it felt like a single player mmo. If Andromeda is open world, this is a legit concern.

Don't want it to play like DA:Inquisition.

Eh, if it's anything like ME1, it'll have tons of that kind of (optional) fetch quests to get you to explore.

I suppose my biggest fear is that BioWare might play it too safe with MEA.
I hope we don't travel to an entirely new galaxy only to have you and your humanoid alien friends pointing your space guns at more conveniently-humanoid-alien-antagonists, pointing conveniently-technologically-equivalent-space-guns back at us. Enter your architecturally familiar space, duck behind your generic space crates and pop shots at one another. Press door button and enter the next room. Rinse and repeat. No doubt it will be a cover-based shooter, but hopefully we'll see some innovation and surprises in this space.
I hope that with the move to Frostbite and without having produce a game that works on older consoles that we'll see some truly outlandish alien designs, alien technology/weapons/modes of attack and alien worlds (flora & fauna). I really want to feel a sense of wonder and to be genuinely surprised in this game.

1. Please don't make me drive the Mako in anything but the most worthless of sidequests.
2. Please don't even make me look at the Mako, because then I'll get flashbacks to driving the Mako in ME1 and those mostly lead to me getting sick and wanting to vomit.
*Insert obligatory "Is it to late to cancel the Mako becoming a thing again?" question here*

I'm more worried about the new Mako turning into a Batmobile in Arkham Knight type of situation.

ME1 Mako driving was just fine, because it was basically zipping around on an RC car and occasionally blowing up a turret or two.
You forgot about it landing upside down because you commited the grave sin of trying to go up a mountain in order to get the mineral that was placed on top of the stupid mountain.

Sure, you just use the jets to strategically flip over.
Or, heaven forbid, load a save.

1. Human centric plot.
2. Human's being the ones who save the day.
2. Poor/contrived explanation as to how the galaxy suddenly develop the means to travel to other galaxies (especially if its developed during the trilogy time frame).

Damn. Well, you're screwed on those first two...and my guess is the 3rd as well.

Believe it or not, according to Bio, creating aliens is hard work. No doubt, creating alien architecture is equally so. You're right, though. Exploring truly alien architecture can be very immersive. I'd buy into that.
Nevertheless, if we go by the original cinematic trailer, pointing guns at each other appears to be the ordre du jour.

Why even bother with an explanation? The first cinematic trailer points to a more advanced / quite different star travel method. Certainly better than what I now consider goofy animations in ME1-3.

Well of course it's hard work.
On the upside, when done well it is one of the reasons Sci-Fi can be so interesting and appealing.
I guess that the fact that a large portion of the fan-base is much more obsessed with space-romance-simulator aspects than Sci-Fi aspects,
probably gives Bioware a feeling that investing in interesting Aliens and other Sci-Fi aspects is above what you need for the basics is a waste of time, unfortunately.

Doesn't it flip itself back over in a second or two?
Most of the time yes. On the very rare occasion it might also just explode instead.

So yes, they need to respect the mass effect idea and not run over it roughshod by simply stating "o, ships got faster, duh" and suddenly they're Star Trek ships that can go Warp 9 and zip across the universe.
I will literally punch Bioware in the face if they do this.

That we will see again the flaws of DA:I:
1. Technical Issues, especially PC related (Please god NO!).
2. Box checking side-questing and grinding for 20 bear asses or something like that.
For the record I think DA:I is a great, enjoyable, but flawed game. I truly hope BW learns from their mistakes making that game and not making a game that is too ambitious for its own good.

2) That it is a good game (It's no fun when there's nothing to complain about)
I will literally punch Bioware in the face if they do this.
Except not actually literally because you can't punch a game studio in the face.

-horrible voice acting from the PC
-Horrible B-grade dialogue as if written by teens in a lot of places, including anything the Inquisitor says, Halamshiral, anything to do with the advisors
-Romances, except for Solas, downright cheesy
-Terrible villain. No development, no character, no sense of stakes or urgency in the matters at hand.
I read metacritic yesterday and I have to say I'm reminded once again how terrifyingly terrible DA:I was all around, and how ultimately afraid I am that mistakes will be repeated.

If they don't have Asari we riot.
Boring fetch quests
No asari squadmate
