I agree. The armour are great in DAI, I liked the styles, but a little limited (and having half the armour schematics looking basically the same even if had different names was a little sad.  expecially when instead on companion looked really differently one from the others)

I hope in the new ME we could customize and decide the type of armout for the companions again like in ME1.

One thing I have always asked myself about ME's hairstyles was: why are the hairstyles so "old" looking? ME should be set in future, why there aren't any (for Shepard) more modern hairstyles? expecially short ones. I have seen more modern hairstyles in Fallout 3, and is a future with 50's influence. all buzzcutts, ponytails, or very old looking bob. Even in the military, short more stylish hair than a bob should be permitted.

I hope our character in not militay again, so we can have more stylish civilian hair.

Yeah that's kind of what I'm hoping for too. It'll certainly give us a few more custom options as to how our characters will look as I was trying to say in my earlier post

I can understand that. I envied Dorian's and Vivienne's styles quite a bit, but I'm still pleased that I got to see Dorian's and Vivienne's styles in the first place. If they'd kept it all fair and even, I wouldn't have been able to enjoy them at all.

Yeah I like Viv's robes as well really suited the fact she was a mage. Although I'm not a big fan of her personality as such. She definetely hada big powerhouse mage look about her. Someone to not mess with unless you want your hair on fire literally. The only thing that I was disappointed with was I couldn't wear my stuff looking like that as one. Having said that though the mage armours that the Inquisitor can use still looks good though.

Agreed. Neutrality is best and looks more realistic than the over-exaggerated animations Bioware's been going with lately.

Great minds think alike. B) I'd also like it if they'd ditch the catsuits/spandex entirely, and the high heels, and the reg-breaking spandex dresses.

I love sleek armor, just not when it stops qualifying as armor (see catsuits above). I like a balance between my aesthetics and practicality (easily found in a Souls game), and I think Shepard's armor in ME3 was a great balance of sleek/attractive and practical.

As for body types, if they don't include them, I'd like the women to, by default, have muscular bodies for once. A very skinny woman (same with an extremely skinny man, really, and if they did push themselves to make it, we'd see them with muscles from the effort) with no muscle whatsoever wouldn't make it into the military in the first place, and female Shepards as a result have always looked unrealistic to me (not to mention the lacy underwear, wtf?). If they did include body types, then apart from the normal average build we always get, I'd like to see a slim/lean body option for a man and the strong/muscular build for a woman that I already mentioned.

As for hair, as long as the long hair is always pulled back/kept up during a mission, I'd be okay with it being down when chilling in fatigues aboard the ship. I'd love great hairstyles to choose from, for a change, and a half-decent CC in general (ME's was beyond atrocious, eugh), so then I wouldn't mind making a custom PC instead of using the default for once in my life (for manShep, anyway, this was always the case; whereas I find default femShep hideous and kind of scary-looking, so I'd make a custom instead, poor lady...). Given Bioware's track record of abysmal hair, however, I will not hold my breath.

I am hoping for pre-set body options. If sliders are not an option then I at least hope we can the alternative. I actually wish to roleplay a character with the physique of James Vega.

In regards to the sleek v bulky armour debate, as an ice hockey goaltender I wear the bulkiest and heaviest of all kits on ice (at least twice as heavy as some/most outfield kits), yet at the same time, I have to be the most agile (the reality doesn't work out that way mainly because I'm a very awful goaltender, so look at the pros, or that girl from our Nationals who stretched her legs behind her head with leg pads on when warming up). Plus, aren't kits that modern soldiers wear and carry heavier than armour knights used to wear?

For hair, how about a Battle Beehive? In all seriousness, for hair, I would like to see some non military hairstyles, especially for men, though please keep the Alisthair, though maybe at tad bit longer, (I use it all the time for DA and ME).

It's more about how the weight is distributed and the free range of movement than total weight. DAO is ridiculous in this respect, everybody has huge shoulder plates for no reason.

Favourite Shepard's armor - Blood Dragon.

Speaking of armor design in general, I prefer fully protected helmets without an inch of glass or other fragile stuff, just multiple sensors so you'll never get blind. Bioware sorta did it with Cerberus and it looked damn cool, to me at least.

Hair? I never cared about it in ME, long sexy hair will just stuck between helmet and armor or in husk's teeth. I'm looking at you, Miranda and Ashley!

I want scars and tattoos. And gender-neutral walk. I play biotics but I'm more of Jack's kind than Miri's. For hairstyles I want something fashionable - give me awesome short hairstyle or at least messy long hairstyle. I hope they will remember to give us option to have blue or purple hair. To be honest I would love to have blue hairstyle with two buns like Sailor Moon for my galactic protag. And some scars and face tattoo... Yeah. Lemme dream.

Favourite Shepard's armor - Blood Dragon.

I did not expect to love the armor like I did but it quickly became the primary armor of one of my Shepards. The helmet looked especially badass because of the visor.

Out of the possible armors for the Inquisitor, I think the mage ones are some of the best.

Of course, some of my favorite options are random drop schematics, which was obnoxious. I had a moment where I thought I'd finally wrestled a superior prowler armor schematic away from from a pride demon in the Frostback basin. I took another look, and it was superior prowler mail. I was my own fault for wishful thinking, instead of actually reading, but I was disappointed.

I was just saying this in another thread. I think MEA should be the first Bioware game with explicitly vibrant, synthetic color options for hair.

Personally, I'd probably still go mostly natural colors, and I care more about a variety of hairstyles, but the color wheel for eyes in DAI was really fun. I would love it if they could implement that for hair and armor.

Actually, in ME3 there was the chance for purple/violet hair. I would be surprised if non natural color didn't came back.

I personally would prefer short hair with colored straks- The shi-fi effect is assured, expecially on short hair

yeah the mage ones are my favourites as well although the rogue ones aren't bad at least the standard scout and prowler armours are good. i loved the rogue armour that you get after completing the opening level though the scout coat for Rogue it looked really nice on my female Lavellan for my current run. Just a shame I have to get rid of it after a little while because you need armours with better rating. Cu8rrently using a prowler armour with a 211 rating which is quite good and is serving me quite well against the tougher enemies atm. But then I am near the end of the game now. Currently at level 19 and will begin the Jaws of Hakkon DLC after I next level up. I am looking to get the sturdy Prowler Armour schematic from the Hissing wastes merchant but don't have the money for that atm.

i tend to go with natural hair colours as well. But more hairstyles and more hair that seems to have more life in it than just looking like a helmet head would be nice. If there are to be any changes to the CC for me that would be it or at least near the top of my list.

Eh it looks as cheap and crappy in video games as it does in real life on say, popstars wearing hot-pink wigs

I like natural shades best as well. My favorite thing about the idea is that it wouldn't take any options away, just add them for people who feel like it.

Hair/clothing physics has been long overdue in Bioware games for a while now. After being spoiled by Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight's use of NVidia tech I hope Bioware takes a few hints and introduces a bit more simulation-based rendering in their models. Might be a bit difficult for Mass Effect due to the futuristic settings, but still it would be neat to see a few folds in those uniforms when people are just hanging out inside the ship :)

Indeed I think with the Inquisitors armour well at least the mage armours and coats blow in the wind a bit. It's one of the main reasons for me why they're my favourite armours in the game as it shows a bit of life in the game. So I think it's starting to happen. Also they recently added hair physics in Fifa and are introducing women's football into the game this year too and that's another EA team. Was thinking of setting a custom cup/league so I can play a few games with those teams when the game comes out as I have to admit I liked that idea. I agree it'll be different when your out on missions and such however it may still be possible if you play a character with longer hair or at least shoulder length such as Miranda/Ashley length to do something like having that move in the wind or as the character moves or something assuming your in a location where you're not wearing a helmet or can choose not to wear one. Not suer about scenes where you'er not wearing armour but I guess only time will tell

I've had some more thoughts about this! I like the colourful hair idea! In ME1 (and maybe two), you could get some really vibrant shade of red, then in ME3, there was another shade of red, plus purple. I'd like some more like that, blue, green etc. Maybe odd eye colours to match?

Some tattoos would be great, we should be able to see a decent amount with casual clothes and romance scenes, even if the neck and face are the only bits available in missions.

I liked Jack's earrings, wouldn't complain about having something like that. I also would love better make up. DAI did pretty well, introducing eye-liner and colour wheel. I'd quite like something like Kasumi and Aria's make-up/tattoos too. They look very futuristic and also attractive. A coule of different body models would be good too - slimmer and more beefy/muscular.

For armour, I'd love a range from 'light armour' (Kasumi), medium armour (Ashley/Miranda's alt), to heavy armour (Hahne Kedar).

yeah I like that idea too. Liara/Kasumi style armour for light armour Ashley/Miranda for meduim style and similar as before for heavy armours

I found in ME3 that the shoulder pads were all like big mchuge large. a reduction is needed I think. I liked everything else about them though. they looked like some really tough armor for the most part.

I liked the fact that DAI had a variety of different looking armours to use and the option to manufacture and adapt some of your own to meet your needs using materials you gather. It would be nice to see some of those kinds of ideas being carried over into Andromeda. Because for me this was one of the main things that for me they did well in DAI.

srsly Bioware, even Bethesda has managed to create decent looking hair that doesn't look like friggin' plastic, and they had Shrek-like orcs back in Oblivion.

And if you're not gonna listen, at least put the modding tools available online so that we can at least get an easier modding experience to fix our hair needs (even how freaky that last part might sound). All games on PC should have the massive modding community that TES games have.
