Hopefully they add support for AMD and Nvidia's hair solutions.

Like I said above in my other posts. Given Andromeda is next gen only they'll be moving into the realms ogf giving us hair with moer life in it.Wil cretainly make it worth while having a character with longer hair if they do anyway. I'll certainly be looking at having my female characters have longer hair if that's the caseat the very least. Or at least shoulder length.

Supposedly they're getting the hang of FB3 now so here's hoping

I want, more or less, a return to ME's armour options. ME felt bigger to me than either ME2 or 3, with greater customizability and variation amongst the armours. And also the ability to give all my guys the same armour, which I love. That uniform look, you know?

I mean, the loot is too much for me in DA:I, sure. But I like it better than the lack of loot that was ME2, no question.

I also want a range of hair colours from the realistic (actual gingers!) to the disturbingly neon ('cause you gotta have blue hair man, TvTropes says so) and lighting in the character creator screen that actually matches in-game lighting. I can't tell you how many times I've done makeup in DA:I that I thought was great and subtle in the CC only for it to turn into clown makeup in-game.

And no ****** crafting. I hate crafting. It's an unholy, grindy time sink with no added value to the game. Please make all armours purchaseable and loot-drops, please.

Not going to even pretend to understand the resources involved, but I imagine having long hair that both acts natural and avoids clipping issues must be a serious headache.

It is (especially if the hair is curly) but it's getting less so all the time.

If not this game, then the next one should be able to do it.

It probably wil be but that's part of the challenge plus a lot of games are using this kind of tech now so I think it would be completely wrong to just ignore it. Because Biowaer would start risking being left behind if they don't at least try even if it takes a couple of games to get it perfect. I think it's doable though we've already seen evidence of that in other games.

I think DAI generally keeps that simple so as long as it stays like that i don't  think it's too bad they just got to make sure they don't over complicate it I think. As I do think that part of the fun of roleplaying in these games is designing your own armour. By doing so you can quite often make it better than the ready made shop armour as well. So as long as it's kept simple it'll be fine I think. Just kind of use DAI's crafting system in a ME way. I'm not really that much for crafting either but it's not a bad system compared to what I've seen in other games. But I do think crafting is a good idea if there aer some advantages to be had but they do need to keep it simple like they did for DAI. For example with materials I managed to make a Prowler armour with a rating of 236 the one in the shop only had a rating of 170. So I had got about 60 extra points out of it by making it myself with materials i found. So as long as it's kept simple like in DAi it6's a good idea it only gets bad if you try to over complicate it like it looks like Fallout 4 looks like it might.

Amen to that.

Also crafting makes pretty much zero sense in a Sci Fi setting. The industrial revolution happened in the Mass Effect universe, so your protagonist shouldn't be out collecting resources to build his/her own guns and armor. That sort of thing should be going on in a factory somewhere.

What if you can ask R&D to craft it for you instead? :P

I really hope we can see developers following in Bethesda's footsteps when it comes to official modding support (even on consoles for Fallout 4). I also hope that Bioware will take cues from Fallout 4's modular crafting system for weapons and armor.

One thing I'd like in MEA is something like the mirror of transformation in the black emporium. I'd like to have a way to change appearance of my characters during the game.

Not too suer about that I think that would be a little over complicatede it sounds more like a sims game to me. That's kind of why i said stick with the DAI system given that seems simple enough to me

Yeah that could work i agree. I get the feeling that in terms of the story it'll be like ME2 in terms of the crafting though and by that I meqan we'll have to scan for the resources and put it all together on the move on our ship. I say this because we may not be able to rely  on Factories or anything as there may not be any yet. After all we do not know as yet how long we've been in Andromeda and how much infrastructuer has been set up yet do we? This is why I've said what I've said. New galaxy new horizons some things we may need to just have to struggle with on our own which ,means possibly making our own weapons and armour. Making it better and such most of the time on the move with only the basic stuff being available at ground level.

Even factories have to be built before they can start manufacturing stuff for you.

Color and design customization, but no actual crafting. That would be ideal.

I was naive enough to be excited for crafting in DAI, because of course I was thinking how I--mostly--enjoyed crafting in skyrim. I enjoyed cyclically making all my crafting skills benefit each other, to produce a immensely refined weapon and suit of armor. But without the ability to continually make the weapon into something higher and higher quality, there's none of that satisfaction.

One thing I'd like in MEA is something like the mirror of transformation in the black emporium. I'd like to have a way to change appearance of my characters during the game.

So much this.

I think people expecting good hair will be disappointed.
Look at Geralt's hair, its good because Geralt have a fix appearence and few options.
The Korean mmo have good hair because they dont need to animate the head likeBioware need.

For good hair it either should be a protagonist with a fix appearence or a mute one, and I doubt Bioware will do either of those.

In the MEverse, this would basically require your PC to be an addict of cosmetic surgery.

All it would mean is that cosmetic surgery is available to the PC.

The addiction part would only apply to some PCs.  And that's a matter for head canon.

If Cerberus can being Shepard back to life looking exactly the same than our new PC should be able to have some kind of machine that lets them change their appearance.

Or you just wear something like those masks in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that changes your appearance.

I want clothes that look like fabric. Just about everything people wore in Mass Effect has looked like latex or carbon fiber. Think of the breathabiltiy people! Think of the chafing.

Also I'll put myself down as also wanting to be a space cowboy.

I found in ME3 that the shoulder pads were all like big mchuge large. a reduction is needed I think. I liked everything else about them though. they looked like some really tough armor for the most part.

Yes! This exactly!

To quote HL2 character designer Ted Backman on Combine soldier designs: "Is it going to be like other games out there where they just have metal breastplates and shoulder pads? Is that high-tech? It seems to me like that is more like a low-tech approach to body armor. For the body, notice that they don't have shoulder pads, which is something that everybody seems to love to put on soldiers in video games. I don't know why. I don't know if they think that soldiers will be tackling people."

Sure, the Vanguard actually is tackling people but do we really need shoulder pads if we're bringing the biotic hurt?

Or simply someone who like to change hairstyle time to time and make-up? with how terrible and totally different from the game usually is the CC illumination in BioWare games, I'd already be ok with just a way to change the colours (eye, hair skintone) and make up during the game, instead of re-starting the entire game every time  :)
