I fill as if I'm being assaulted by idiocy on all sides over there. I honestly do not know if some of these people are trolling or they are completely off their rocker. There's a thread complaining about having to aim playing a shooter and having to fetch thermal clips from fallen enemies being a problem.
Does anyone else just fill IDK out of place in the new ME:A forum?

lol.. There's always been this element since ME1 was released where there's an aversion to shooters. They're just coming out of the woodwork again. These things must happen. Carryovers from 20 yrs of a previously RPG exclusive developer, I guess.

But I shouldn't have to aim. Or move. Or do anything, really. I just want to sit there and push a single button repeatedly - I mean, IDK why everyone got so butt hurt over the One Button To Rule Them All; I think it was genius.
Look how much easier ME:A would be with my ideas:
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Who needs anything else for entertainments? Try it yourself!

Yes because different opinions means not having to aim in a shooter game.

Despite the fact that I enjoyed ME3 a lot, I am not generally a fan of shooters. I am in the list of people that preferred many of the mechanics of ME1. For example, I enjoyed having more abilities that needed to be used at strategic points in a fight (at least until you got op gear and could spam singularity every 3 seconds). I enjoyed the let your gun cool down mechanic since it made the weapons seem more futuristic, but at least ME3 gave us some more unique and futuristic weaponry.
As for not having to aim, well you can already pause to line up your shots, so I am not sure what else people want.

You are assuming that ME should stay primarily a shooter, but since this series has always aimed to appeal to both shooter and RPG fans, what is wrong with more RPG elements being included?

Yes, we should have a tutorial mode for a cover based shooter. No bullets just kill your enemies with words, judging from some of the gems in that new forum I can't say that this won't be an effective line of offense.

All I can say is after having to suffer through auto aim only in DAI, MEA sure as hell better follow the standard ME formula of TPS with RPG elements. Otherwise preorder cancelled!

You sometimes can´t please everybody. But it´s frightening, that people are complaing about a game, that needs over a year untill it´s released.

Best advise is to avoid that part of the forum for now.

I wouldn't touch that forum even if I were to use somebody else's ding-a-ling. Give's me an std just thinking about it.

This is the main issue I have. I went over there expecting it mostly to be about this speculation or that speculation and discussion about the game but a lot of the threads are just complaining about the game that hasn't even been developed yet. 99% of the stuff they're complaining about is ridiculous as well.

Well, I just read someone complaining that having thermal clips in the game is frustrating.
I'm not coming back to that forum again.

That dude wants the game to be a turn based JRPG. He's really bizarre. He said that combat required no decision making and he also intentionally loses because of RPG realism.

The Andromeda forums are not for the faint of heart.
Some of those tribes haven't seen civilization in years. You can't just walk in out of the wasteland and expect them to cooperate with the rest of humanity. Reaching those tribes will take time, patience, diplomacy, and the wisdom to sometimes say, "F*ck it," point a gun at 'em, and make 'em do the right thing.
Saving humanity isn't for the weak. Sometimes you need the carrot. Sometimes you need the stick. Mostly, you'll need you hunting rifle, your wits, and the willingness to use them when necessary.
Bring water, bring food, and whatever you do, when you see a glint of light in the distance: hide. It's not your friend. It's not the tribe with the lost technology. It's the motherf*cking Wasteland rising up to get you. It's the end of a baited hook, ready to drag you to the depths for a fish's dinner.
It's war out there. And war, war never changes.
