I am tired of bioware getting away with horrible game designs by stating how progressive they are in romance options and other nonsense that has no effect on gameplay.

 

So I want ZERO romance options in this game. No romance advances, no nothing. A completely asexual protagonist or a protagonist that has much bigger things to worry about than who he is gonna shag in some horrendous cutscene that makes a mockery of sex scenes.

Absolutely. Whether for or against, only unless its irrational. Wanting a Bioware game with no romances isn't irrational so its a fine desire to have.

 

And even though I enjoy the romance subplots, I'd be cool with no romances in a Bioware game. I actually wish I didn't romance who I did in Inquisition and went without that subplot.

Why don't they just play dating sims then?

 

I honestly was ok with romances until people started complaining about how unfair the number of romances are as if in real life in a room you always have an equal number of LGBT and straight people. Its really takes away from the characters when people only care about how many they can shag.

 

Honestly wouldn't care if the whole room was full of lesbians and gay men if it fit the character instead of artificially numbered sexual preferences which make no sense.

Since it appears that this will be one of those threads, I feel I can safely observe that NOT all of our opinions are equally valid. Some of them are just silly.

 

In any event, I would encourage you to abstain from the romance content, or play a different game if you find it's presence so objectionable. There are lots.

 

Thankfully, I doubt Bioware is gonna drop the romance subplots any time soon. They're a lot of fun to have.

I buy a game for reasons other than virtual romance options. But, if available, I give it a try. Not, that anything scandalous would pop up,  The TV is the best place for that.

If he's a Bioware fan in general, he's had them for the past 15 years.

 

I'm confident in saying that, regardless of their frequently iffy execution, romances remain one of the most popular aspects of Bioware's games. I can't see them dropping them any time soon. Certainly not outside of a completely new IP (probably in a completely different genre). I don't know why he thinks they would.

 

Raging impotently on the forums can be cathartic though.
