I see the most common criticism is that they are abandoning the MW galaxy in favor of the Andromeda galaxy to sidestep the endings of the original trilogy. There are those writing it off as a no buy because of this reason. Well what if they alleviate the endings with a clever twist that results in leaving the MW for a new galaxy?

There are those who are quick to throw hate at Bioware for not owning up to the previous trilogy and continuing (fixing?) their own story, but again its possible that with this new game they have a good explanation and quite possibly make the endings justified... we just don't know yet.

So with the eyeball test, I can understand the hate. The mindset is Bioware is running and not addressing the ending debacle. I say wait and see. They might just surprise you. As for me, I'm excited to experience a new Mass Effect.

Not enough known about it yet, and it is still far from release.

But I think Andromeda has the potential to be interesting.

Everyone knows it's not out yet -- but there's lots of people who dislike the game being, "no Shepard, no past squadmates, no Milky Way...." etc.

I think the first two things are definitely good, and this is from someone who loves the old cast. I think the franchise could use a cast of entirely new faces, who have no baggage and history established by the old trilogy. It's a big universe. Seeing no familiar faces could help to make it feel that way. I really look forward to the prospect of zero cameos. It's always a possibility, but this has promise to get away from that.

Who knows maybe one day we'll be able to revisit the Milky Way (ME2:A) like where the threat comes to our galaxy now? I don't know but I am happy it's in a new setting with new places and faces.

I'm waiting and seeing so I neither love nor hate it because it's not been released. All I want is the PC platform taken seriously in the development and the game to push the envelope of what's possible within the genre, something a Bioware game hasn't done for donkey's years. If I criticise, it's intended to be constructive, not because I hate it. I admit, I don't like the entire Andromeda premise but I'm willing to keep an open mind long enough to be convinced with future details. To be fair, since (on these forums) most people dislike the notion of it being in Andromeda, the onus is on Bioware to convince us by making the game great and that's no bad thing.

No idea. Not enough information.

After all, it is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.
