People are satisfied by that? At very least you know you aren't looking at release in all likelyhood in the near future (1-3 days). So, at least I (or any person) won't have to check back for info.

I suppose thank you for that.

FYI, I am pulling together a status update. Hoping to have some amount of info for you today (not likely a release date, but a "where we stand")

We don't want to leave you in the dark til then, but we want to make sure what the update is accurate.

Thanks Victor.

I'm really interested to say what kind of news you have in store for us, even if honestly it's quite sad that after two weeks of near silence we're "not likely" to have a release date.

I need new DLC. I've already stabbed the Darkspawn I've got. I suppose I could go back and stab them all again but people start giving a peculiar look after a while.

Joking aside I'm eager to get some sort of update. Even a vague timeframe is fine. Unspoken implication. You'll find me agreeable.

Thank you, Victor. I hope morale isn't too shaken at BioWare at the moment. Within a month you seem to have come under a lot of fire (First the RtO mess, and I've seen a lot of issues regarding ME2's DLC and bonus content).

I look forward to reading the update.

Thanks for WHAT?.............I already lost interest in DAO..............now I'm playing ME2..............I'll wait till DAO Awakening comes out in March (Hopefully). I'm sure RTO can't be that exciting to hold my breath waiting.

Finally someone says something outside of the ME2 forums. I was seriously contemplating letting my wife trade DA in within the next couple days. Now I hope the info we get is enough to keep my wife interested long enough for the DLC to come out.

Come to think of it, these forums are quite dead. I think at first the whole "release it or you'll lose sales" thing was nerd-rage. But, now I'm starting to wonder. I realize ME2 is a lot of it but in this competitive environment I'm sure people have moved on.

Or, if you're like me, you just stop caring. I'm still interested in RtO (400 points still sat in my BioWare points account), but after the first week or two I just stopped caring. Some of the reactions were utterly ridiculous IMHO and completely uncalled for, but I did agree with the general sentiment that something was wrong and the situation was just a complete mess.
I understand BioWare are truly trying to change this around, but either the damage has been done and BioWare will learn or nothing'll come of it. I'm sure BioWare will come back fighting though, they're a great company and one of the few I truly respect.

I'm glad that we can get an update on the DLC. It's much better than a release da...err...re-re-release date lol.

I, for one, am a little worried that BioWare is having so many problems with RtO. Is there going to be a knock-on effect that may eventually cause delays with Awakening?

That's a somewhat vague comment about a possible status update! BioWare may not want to leave us in the dark but so far that seems to be exactly what is happening! Would it be so difficult to create a locked "update on RtO" thread that BioWare staff actually update with info at least once a week? Even if it's a simple "nothing new to report this week" update!

i think what bothers me the most is im just plain jealous :) that some people got to download RtO and get the loot and play for an extra hour or so before it got pulled.

im not playing DA until the expansion is released, i would like to play the expansion before i beat the game then i will finish the game. until then ive moved on

wouldnt surprise me if EA just went ahead and included RtO in awakenings lol

I will reserve my "thank you" for when there is an actual update, not a dev simply stating they intend to give an update sometime in the near future.  Some of you folks are so whipped it's sad.

I seem to remember the same thing happening about 5 days ago:  A BW employee posted saying update was in the works, everyone thanked him for saying this, then nothing came of it.  Don't get me wrong, I am no troll and want this thing just as much as the next guy.  I just can't believe some of you are not at least a little more jaded/skeptical from this whole mess concerning RTO.

DLC is like a black hole that draws out all the suck from BioWare and its affiliates. I suppose, if you're going to suck, DLC is probably a better place than some, but still.

Oh, well. Maybe they'll finally plug it up for DA2 and end their long string of fail, but I don't truly expect it at this point.

I second this. Thanks for what? For doing his job? Let's hear what he's going to announce us this time (maybe the same old news) and I'll thank him later. (No offence to Victor though, I know he's not responsible with all this DLC mess)

It would be nice to get it for free or cheaper considering from those who have it already are saying its very short which I already knew. Leaves little faith in the expansion and there are issues with Mass Effect 2! I don't remember Bioware having any issues or gamers having issues before EA takeover...

We've got the promise of an update, at last. I'm trying out the friendly carrot approach, in the hope of encouraging the community managers to be more forthcoming and actually talk with their customers; if there's no update soon, however, Bioware should await the stick of nerd-rage...and probably the righteous butt-kicking for goodness, too. :innocent:
